Lyrics/Notes I looked at our old pictures Throughout the years I found lots of smiling faces But never any tears Memories long forgotten As time continues on I’m thankful for the pictures That remind me of where I came from I look at places once visited And some no longer there I cannot believe time has gone away so quickly As the future lingers near Like a cat that waiting For its next meal I wonder what is next And will it be real As I remember dreams of then and now Nothing can compare Knowing you are still with me somehow As the end lurks near Notes: this song has been a difficult song to make. Originally, I recorded this on my old laptop which is in the afterlife. However, I continued to develop this song for 7 days periodically, with no success. After trying to sing it differently, changing instruments, etc. I decided really to give up on this and not record it at all. Sadly, this morning in the cold I recorded this video and listened to it and thought it sounded terrible, but as the day went on I had second thoughts. So I posted this song without a chorus and terrible editing (the audio over laps where it was spliced). It’s time to move on. If you read this far, soon I will be also playing bass on the videos too. I’ll get a drum set eventually, but I need to rearrange this room.

Thanks. There was a lot of “what if’s” to get to this point. I was so curious to try so many variations during this session, that I spent too much time on this song. But, that happens for a good reason.
