Its Red Bull TV. This is all produced by Red Bull.
@mstvir3 жыл бұрын
During actual event it is live streaming, aside from being it hard to switch between all the cams in real time, not all cameras are streaming live video. Also close ups you see are short clips of what would have been mostly crap footage if it was streamed live. So it makes sense to go over those footages in post production and select the short clips that actually add value or act like a B roll
@hobmarg3 жыл бұрын
There are limits to what you can reasonably produce live, they can't have unlimited live cam feeds being worked on in the truck and some of this looks like it's super high end cameras which I doubt you can have bandwidth to broadcast back to the truck, process the video and stream it live to the web.

People who are suspicious of him 'coming from nowhere' to win have not been following his career progression including junior 'cross wins. Baby Giro anyone. mvdp might be a little too heavy for such steep and long climbs. With cycle cross he can punch up the short steep climbs, but not with MTB. I think he will need to drop some weight to get a better watt per kg (if there is anything to drop). It is a joy to watch him, because of his power and fantastic racing style (taking no prisoners). Pidcock is truly built for this sport.
@andymiller38893 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. XCO is all about W/kg and how well do you climb. It was not an accident that both of the winners were incredibly small riders. Some courses will be more advantageous for those with top wattage, and some will go the direction of the lightest, but over a season, top W/kg will win-out.
@haddedoussama143 жыл бұрын
MVDP is tall. I don't think he could drop any kilos. However, knowing that Pidcock is only 50 kilos is somehow insane!! I guess he has a better watt per kg ratio..

@@haddedoussama14 Just fyi, even though on the broadcast they've repeated that he's 50KG's he himself says he's 57-58KG's in a few different interviews now, which makes a lot more sense for a rider of his height. 50KG's at 1.7m would be truly skeletal. I'm guessing just like when people had his height at 1.57m, the 50KG weight probably came from numbers from when he was a junior.

@haddedoussama143 жыл бұрын
No restrictions. As a matter of fact, they can use 2.1 up to 2.3 or maybe more. I think the reason they don't is the grip and friction those tires are going to make. So fast rolling tires would be more suited for racing..

I think it's time for the multi disciplinary riders to take over. This is the new way of doing things. Focusing on one discipline is no more sufficient to win races.
@davideamigoni69163 жыл бұрын
It is not because they are multidisciplinary riders the reason why they win, it is the opposite: they are freak of nature and they can win in any discipline. What is changing is the approach among the disciplines and the fact that the International Teams are more and more accepting to let these incredible riders to enjoy in different disciplines. On the other hand, they could benefit from different techniques leaning more skills as well as to build a more complete organism racing long distance, GC in road racing, short but extremely intense effort during cyclocross races and then, but not last, in mountain biking.
