How to turn around. "Teach the free man how to praise." How to praise history. Teach the primitive Muslims how to study history. How historical development in Jinnah's republic turned into a global nightmare with the rise of poverty? What transformed a country into a Jihadi state? What led to the bankruptcy? What made the primitive Muslims addicted to the I.M.F bailouts? Not that hard. How a defeated army in all wars became the predatory force in a polity of primitive Muslims?

Pakistan allowed a string of false leaders to take over and be at the helm- leading to a string of disasters... I think a " growing up" is happening and a new awareness that the current state of affairs is the result of years of inept and egoistic l, and corrupt eadership... this itself is the first movement towards change.

Sending people to foreign Universities for PhD is not going to solve human capacity problems. In PhD they teach theory and research. We need people who can do basic tasks properly. Better to send people to get a Masters degree and that should be sufficient from education perspective. Then you need to train these people on how to do their jobs effectively in public sector which comes from on job training and culture of superior work ethics.

Prof Ahsan good to hear you are focusing on university level education ( the quality of current Universities in Pakistan is mildly putting it is crap)... So if you are focusing on quality then its good... But if you do not improve your schools then good supply to universities will dry up... Good idea if Pakistan at govt level sends students to great international universities and then gets those students back( China did it) Now here is the biggest social issue of Pakistan which will never make these educated students to come back: extreme radicalisation of society... Fatwas by maulvis Lynching of people in the name of tauheen Bomb blasts every month in Balochistan and KPK... This extreme societal unrest will deter those students to come back...they will remain there only...

It's clear there are intelligent, committed people like this minister, who genuinely work to improve matters... More and more such people coming together, and people waking up to the " parasites" who fill the senate- large landowners, & uncommitted to service or improving lives of people, will bring about change. A faulty value system, inculcated from the basic education years, deliberately distorted views of history, and a lackadaisical approach to serving their nation has led to the current state of affairs... People there need to understand and feel their power, and so work to realise their potential, and making short work of the parasites in their society should put them on the right track..

Prof Ahsan ..agree political instability right from 1947 has been the bane of Pakistan... BTW ...CEPEC was by birth never a "game changer"... It was another churan given by your Nawaz Sharif govt in 2017... Now Pakistan is burdened with huge Chinese debt due to that....

We need implementation and continuity of reform policies instead of lips service. We also require sense of "we" for collaborative efforts to make country prosperous. Government policies to boost tax revenue are vulnerable and it would cost more in the despise of relief and subsidies.

Not true - they have capable people there too.. They just need to shift gears and do a course correction.. Improving their functioning and breaking the current deadlocks/ mindsets... This will come about through the new awareness and waking up that one can see happening already

@ Maine ye baat pragmatic Aur logical reasoning mai likhi thi … and whatever you have wrote is mere an optimism… First Pakistan de industrialise ho chuka hai … second Pakistan mai agar ab change kara jayega to uska imapact 20 saal baad dekhega … Third agar aisa ho Bhi Gaya ( pehle to hoga nahi ) phir Bhi wo India se humesha piche rahega… Now comes the real reason , Pakistan was never created for human development… Its purpose is already finished … 10000% Pakistan can never change …
