I've been using Pidgeot in the lead and love this Pokemon. It's quite versatile with its moveset -- either you throw a BB and either grab a shield or a huge chunk of HP (if not one shot KO) or you throw the feather dance and force switch like you said. I also like the idea of feather dancing the safe swap to give my counter swap a better farm opportunity. I've been running it with Poliwrath and Giratina (A) in the back, but have stalled a bit as well

I had a lot of success last season leading Pidgeot in great league, and I called that same scenario “the fu-ked up 50/50” because you’re either getting debuffed or nuked, and there’s no way to know. In GL everyone always expected feather dance spam so I’d always nuke and switch and catch tons of people

Been waiting for this video and glad my game vs you didn’t make it into the final product. Pidgeot on lead just seems like another version of RPS lines with the bait or nuke move set. I wish they would nerf feather dance somehow because the gamble as the opponent just sucks the fun out of the matchup in my opinion

some randomness and mind play is whole idea of pokemon battles.. not calculate 100% right and knowing for sure what is opponent next move.. pokemon go way to easy cause movesets are so tied every pokemon, no chance of critical hits either. What comes feather dance its more like brave bird should become recoil move what it in main series. stupid you can load two of them low hp and throw them without real drawback (cause defense drop dont madder that point)

@7:01 it took me a long time to learn that with Golisopod. On your 3rd charge move you will get to Liquidation and Arial Ace at the same time.

I need some help, 2 questions: - I had a realy good Dratini Spotlight hour, no hundo but a 15/14/15 and over 180 XL candy in this hour alone. Is a 15/14/15 worth powering up to 50? Or do I wait and grind raids for a hundo? Also I of course got the more rare but useless 0/0/0 nundo 5mins after the raid hour 😂 -I finally got enough Lickitung XL candy, but the best one I have is the rank 25, worth it or not? Thanks for the vids!

I powered up a shadow 13/15/15 to level 50 and best buddied it. It puts in a lot of work in master league but that said I also just maxed a 15/15/15 regular. I’d say the 15/14/15 is well worth the investment personally

15/14/15 is fine. People cry too much about IVs. I wouldn't power it up until after the current event. You may randomly catch a better Dratini. Search the "Lickitung PvP IV deep dive" for an answer about your Lickitung. Stating the rank of the Lickitung doesn't mean much. Stat products aren't everything. Especially when considering a bulky Pokemon with a 1 turn fast move.

@@HerrDrPinguin and about the lickitung, I’d look up a swag tips deep dive for the ivs I’d say it’s probably good to go though. I have a shiny rank 42 and it has never failed but me but I also have a best buddy rank 26 built. With the slightly higher rank you will end up winning cmp in the mirror which is really nice 👍🏻

I mean all the grind for the XL and the elite TM + the stardust.. you rly wish to have at least a top 10 for all of that :/ that’s like 2-3 months of prep at least

I finally did it, I beat Dan ottawa to legend?! I noticed everyone was using bite-hole (gastrodon - sh. drapion and sh. skuntank with bite) in hisuian cup, so I ran frosslass-toxi-and sh. sneasler (double poison-fighting) and climbed from 2680-3010 in 6 sets. Went 4-1/5-0 almost every set except one where I went 1-4. It was insane. I think I just predicted the bite hole for a day because now I’m seeing a ton of empoleon leads which hard countered the team. Maybe you should give it a shot. It was a very fun team to use.

18:53 this has happened to me so many times where I clearly have a move and somehow it doesn’t allow me to throw it even though the fast move timing is in my favor

The damage from the fast move registers before it has finished. As Dan says, incinerate is a 5 turn move but the damage registers after 4 turns
