despite ca-KeiichiFace's best efforts, she was never able to find a gurren lagann amv that i liked. Pivotal had been able to capture a specific feeling and moment in time and nothing really matched that UNTIL NOW. this one was able to remind me exactly why i loved the show and make me feel the same way i did the first time i watched it. i watched it twice and may have cried. great god damn job.

Every So often I'm just struck immobile, that ticking in the background and the haunting vocals just out of memory's reach. And I sit for moments that stretch on and on trying to recall where it's from. Eventually, it clicks and I recall the video, but the song still eludes me and the only solution, the only way forward is to come back to it and watch. It's a journey. The way you were able to take what would normally be an action sequence and match it to the tone of the song was REALLY great! 3:08 really stood out to me with the whole "Dawn is coming..." chorus matched with grabbing the sunlight.

watch tons of amvs! this will figure out what you like/dont like in videos and help you find a style. also, there are tons of tutorials/guides on this website bit.ly/1slphax, but personally i just wing it >> probs the biggest advice id give to new editors is to get a base level of video/audio quality, there are so many vids that are nicely edited but are not using good quality sources and it ruins the experience xD i dont use fantastic quality but just enough to get by ;)
