Yes! "A woman can be tough"... and yes, @Sina, you are!! Once again, I can no longer listen to the original track without hearing your version and seeing you play it. Peace... and like I have said in several other comments: let's bring back the movement of the '60's, but let's get it "right" this time. Back then, the youth of the '60's thought they could change the world, but they got older and "gave up". Let's (all of us... various ages from 20 to 80+) band together and make a difference, through Peace, Love, and Music!

Janis was in a class by herself. Sina proves once again why she is in a class by herself! What a fine tribute Sina (who's been known in comments as looking a little like Janis with her hair and clothing), even dressing in the peasant top that so defined the 60's hippy generation at the time! Yet another perfect tribute to a timeless classic!! You continue to show you're the best!!

WOW! JJ was on of the hippiest rock and rollers trailblazing herself into history. She had a style that was simply put, fit for the ages. Loved this woman’s music. It’s a shame she left us at such a young age. I watched a documentary on her. It was both great and sad at the same time. But she was loved and admired so much by America and when she performed at Woodstock, she was the wildest thing in the world. She didn’t hold anything back.

Mr. Baker such a power percussionist and yet such a rudimentary arrangement. It's what Hal Blaine would describe as whats needed. Simple but necessary. Easy tempo and accommodating beat. Compliments the piece in its whole, not out to steal the show.

I wish you could have seen Janis J perform this song at the Woodstock festival. Just so you can see how up close and personal some of your covers are. Yes, you have music for blood in your veins, and it is constantly renewing itself, and you, as you continue on this Rock n' Roll journey. Such excellent cover choices, you amaze me sometimes with your ability to know what your patrons want to hear, and then some. So very, very cool!

You have NO idea how this video struck me when I found it! My sister Christine was a hippie in the 60's and her favorite artist back then was Janis Joplin. I shared 2 passions with Janis, a real love for '60s Blues Rock and Folk Music and an obsession with the automobiles of an Austrian-German engineer, Ferdinand "Ferry" Porsche. My first job after graduation from high school was as an auto tech at a Porsche-Audi dealership in 1973. That career kept me smiling for the next 25 years. 36 air cooled Porsche cars later and too many LP stereo albums to keep count of, I still cling to the wonderful rush that comes from both classic Rock music and fast vintage sports cars. Thank you Sina for all the lovely memories you stirred from that fabulous period of time when AI did not exist and both music and sports cars were made by skilled minds and hands.... Happy Birthday🧡🎂

And yes there is something fetching about Sina's stage presence that can capture the strength of powerful personalities like Janis Joplin with a Hollywood-style glamour. Ever since her breakthrough role in "A Toy Soldier in Love", it was clear she'd one day have acting chops. 😁 She can capture the sound, style, and power of any classic personality, then unexpectedly look the audience in the eye and draw them in.
