9:30 pretty sure that is only true for the first gen r9t, 2nd+ gen the kilometers/miles are stored in the ecu and are transferred automatically to the new speedo.

Thank you for all the advices. I have a couple of questions : I would like to update to buy a pre Euro 5 9T for easier customization (like changing the exhaust line and the air box removal, or RSD parts). What is for you the best R9T classic gen to buy for that ? Thank you

Great question! To be honest, both Gen1 and Gen2 are really really great donor bikes for what you're after. We ever so slightly prefer the Gen2- there were some very minor and subtle upgrades which makes life a tiny bit easier, but we still love working on Gen1 bikes. We've actually got a blog on the different Gens coming out soon, so keep an eye out for that. Ultimately the condition of the donor bike is the crucial thing- better to get one that's been looked after well and not worry too much about the Gen. There's a Buying a used 9T guide on our KZbin channel too! Feel free to check that out!

Hahaha “ ask if it’s been done by a non BMW franchised workshop” someone like you for instance.😂

Yes, exactly. There aren't necessarily right and wrong answers. The aim is to ask questions to see if the answer satisfies your needs. If you're in the UK and you're happy that we did the work, then great. If you'd rather the bike had a dealership history, then that also works. It's down to the potential buyer.
