Thanks for posting the state statute. As a fisherman and a parent with kids, I appreciate fellow fishermen who pay attention to kids in the waters. Two weeks ago I was in Cocoa Beach and at the beach ... there was no one within 100 yards of me and the kiddos and two families showed up and plopped down within 10 feet of us, on both sides. Talk about ruining the piece and quite. Take care and stay safe out there.

I would go during the week. Weekends gets too crazy with boat traffic.. Some of them have no respect for kayakers

They can only say you can't fish if they allowed fishing from the pier. From the beach is one thing because that might be private property or have county ordinances about thay but you should be able to fish from a boat. The law is you can't fish from a boat a or spear fish within 100 yards of a fishable structure but if they don't allow fishing it's no longer a fishable structure.

That's exactly right! But they try to kick us out last time saying we can't fish there! Which is a total b.s... They have no right to put up signs either saying you can't fish within 100 yards to the pier! We are not disturbing anyone! Fishing is not allowed from the pier! And it's federal waters! I'll be back there to fish with my kayak 😎

We came down from Indiana last night for vacation. We walked on the beach to that pier around noon. The wind and waves were blowing and rolling hard!

It's been really windy this year. Surf fishing conditions are not ideal at all but if you get a chance, go fish close to the pier during high tide and you will catch some good fish 😎🤙

I was leaving the other day and as I got to the pier, the life guard was on the bull horn telling the boaters they had to be 100 foot from the pier.

That's true. You can not be on the life guard side. That's why they only allow fishing from the left side of the beach.

Nice blue bite! FYI those are not barracuda. They are called Southern Sennet. Barracuda have black spots. Those were actually large for a southern sennet. Tight lines brother!

Right to fish at the pier or not is irrelevant to me. You have so many places to fish, why cause drama. This is about fun fishing. Not doing useless crap like fish where folks complain. My finger was ready to unsubscribe and let you play your games. Glad you passed it on by and fished elsewhere.
