Couple tips! 1. Look at your weapons combos. This is how you'll get the most damage out of your weapons so make sure to look! 2. You don't select a heartstone ability to use. All of the heartstones buff you at the same time so there's no reason to not put them in the wellspring! 3. When you get the treasure bundles from the generator things that you level up, the abilities that you're offered all get added to the pool of abilities that you can find on a run! This is how you unlock new abilities! (As far as I know, this isn't explained anywhere. I just figured it out after playing the game a bunch.)

If the hearstone bit is true then why does the glow get allocated to only on one of the two halfs of the stone stove thing it's connected to?

@@mica4977 I have no idea. Tbh I've been confused about what those things are for the entire time I've been playing. But I can confidently say that all the effects are active at the same time.

@@mica4977 NEVERMIND!! What I said was completely wrong! The stone things are how you swap between heartstones. You can have one heartstone from each zone active at once, right now they have the two heartstones from the forest zone. Still, you can swap between them at any time so it's still a good idea to put them in the wellspring.

Ash, Focus hits are blue attacks. BLUE ATTACKS, y'all. If it isn't blue, it isn't a focus hit. Hammer can get them with well times attacks or combos. Explore button combinations to find focus attacks. You have one where you can do a spin slam (light-light-heavy, or light-heavy-heavy cant remember which), and another where you dodge behind enemies and do a big sweep attack (dodge then hold movement in the opposite direction of dodge and use heavy attack (which can be charged), and a charged Order in the Court (special, which is Y on x-box controller). Those are the easiest focus attacks you can consistently get with the hammer. Cannon auto focus hit's on ANY attack if it only has half ammo (the last 3 out of 6). I think the ball focus hit's whenever you successfully do a volley with it. I think the spear focus hits on combos and multi-hit attacks. Price, I'm sure you are aware that you can reload faster if you time your reload button presses properly. It's hard to time correctly in the middle of it all though. You discovered that cannons have a melee attack that reload the cannon with one ammo. You can make a melee followed up by a shot-gun blast for a quick escape. If you become good at that you can get away from situations without even taking damage and putting out a surprising amount.

Congratulations for beating Owlwitzer, that one took me a lot of patience to beat. I was using the ball as my weapon during that time, it was not the best decision lol.

fyi, focus hits is not damaging multiple enemies, its a sequence of attacks, in the camp it tells you on the top left the types of combo you can do to get a focus hit.

If buttons are remappable, why not change them to what you’re used to? And if they’re not remappable, wouldn’t that be the complaint instead of button layout?

The way that remapping controls in this game is a little weird. You can't swap the buttons used for individual weapons, you can only swap the broad "Light attack", "Heavy attack" and "Dodge" which affects ALL the weapons. Because the dodge with the gun is also the heavy attack, if you swapped the reload (Dodge for other weapons) and the dodge (Heavy attack for other weapons) for the gun, it would swap the dodge and the heavy attack for everything else which just makes matters worse. Sry if i'm explaining this badly 😅The gist of it is that when you swap the controls, it affects all of the weapons.
