i pierced my septum with a safety pin when i was 15. didn't hurt much. i always hid it so my mom never saw it, i would usually flip it down when i was at school or in my bedroom.

@@iman8676 it's recommended to leave it either flipped up or down for the whole heeling process instead of flipping up and down all the time or it could reject

@@bluebambiliminals Yeah I did get the piercing in, it's not as painful as you probably imagine, the only gross part is you need to poke through two layers of cartilage, but again it's not painful just the sensation is weird

@@morgansharp6317 i think it went good! definetely do something to numb the area before tho bc it hurt so bad, and make sure to clean every day for a while after with salt water or saline!! also, make sure u have the right area, just kinda feel around until the skin kinda gets thinner!

If you’re going to pierce yourself people at least buy an actual piercing needle. Those materials you need are not that expensive to begin with and you can wait a few days to receive them don’t impulsively just grab whatever is near you and poke it through your nose. I get it maybe you did that once and it didn’t get infected but if you keep using a sewing needle or a safety pin for your piercings, you have a higher chance of getting an infection. As well as having more room for error just buy a proper needle. Again, I’m not hating. I’m saying this for safety because there’s also a lot of people that just don’t think about the consequences of an infection. Those are dangerous they could lead to sepsis. It’s nothing to play around with.

I think it should be done closer to the top, but I miscalculated where that would be bc of the curve in the horseshoe so now it’s a little lower than I would like it to be

@@sirknightlancelot I tried it but the needle didn't go fully through it was at the end I tried pushing the needle in and it was so painful so I took the needle out. i think I'll try again after my septum heals .ur video was helpful for my friend she pierced her septum on the right spot^^
