He did play in the 1986 world cup (he scored the winning penalty against Mexico in the QF) but was not a certain starter. It was a blunder by Beckenbauer as even out of form, he was a player who could make a difference. Beckenbauer had a history of not trusting maverick attacking talents like Littbarski. I believe in both the 1986 final against ARgentina and the 1990 semi-final Littbarski would have made a difference.

Das Spiel hab ich live im Müngersdorfer Stadion gesehen. Und es war ein super schönes und sehr spannendes Spiel ! Der FC hat Inter teilweise an die Wand gespielt. Selbst italienische Freunde haben damals gesagt, dass die falsche Mannschaft gewonnen hat. Und das zu Recht !

Well, it's not a highlights compilation, it's all touches from a certain game. As for Kalle - I do consider the latter a better player (by some margin), but I wouldn't agree with you on the dribbling part.

When you would say Kalle was a better finisher, or a better header you would be right. But Litti is one of the best dribblers of all times. When it comes to dribbling Rumenigge wasn't even close.
