Godfrey never said Country Wayne wasn’t qualified. He thought he was insulting comics who do comedy clubs. Country Wayne funded his own Netflix special. Godfrey excluded him because he made what Netflix bought.

Wayne did not disrespect club comics. His statement was directed to Faizon Love...stated that he was limited to the comedy club. Faizon started the whole thing by his hating. Godfrey took that out of context. It was something that he didn't have to expound on...especially after Shannon said, that's not what he (Wayne) was talking about it. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Great perspective Pierre and the Chris Tucker piece is a great example of how young comedians exploded and blew up. The interesting thing is that Chris did it without Social Media and Kountry Wayne is killing it with KZbin and Facebook etc. I like his skits more than his comedy special on Netflix but to each his own. I think part of it is owning production. Country Wayne does a lot of his own production so he creates a lot of his opportunities and isn’t waiting around for a casting agent or film director to call him. You can’t be mad at a person for creating their own opportunities.

The truth of the matter is it's a lot of people in comedy, acting, music, etc that's not Great at their craft or a A lister. But one thing they do well is market their Name, Image, and likeness. In the sports arena they call it NIL deals. So the name of the game is marketing yourself or product on social media as a influencer to the masses.
