They are ghost notes?

It’s called a ghost note and means (at least in this case) to hit random inside the notated octave to produce a sort of cymbal/like sound. I think.

With your uploads, Mondays simply can't go wrong. That would fit nicely in the modern crime/neo noir movie. Picture a scene: a private detective hired to solve a crime, enters a nightclub in NYC or other American town of screenwriter's choice. He looks around, goes to the counter, and says to the bartender: "Gimme soda pop", or something like that. And just as the pianist begins to swing, the scene becomes more aggravated, to make clear the detective isn't welcome here. Don't know what else could happen, it's just the first association that's come to my head.
