First time around, I did subscribe. The tempo of demonstrating iis just fine, guess to anybody, me, I am into harmonies, chords, these days, and, interestingly,, I find mentioned "chord" at 0:34. I do believe, over here, on the Continent, at least, many piano lessons do without mentioning chords or harmonies at all. (wonder if this changes over time, or geographically, ways of teaching, I mean). The first chord mentioned is E flat major. Wob, just beats me. This comes to a surprise, as even beginners, guitar, piano, expect something like, F, after C and G.. What is E flat major on the cirecle of quints? So casually mentioned, to beginners, the more so intriguing to those about to advande:. As was insinuated, in a very positive, irritating way, I was going up in the cirecle, arriving at the utmost top - which may show that I am a beginner - but then tried the "flat" - you did say nothing about sharp - and to my bewildermenti It's only the second quint below the F chord (more familiar, indeed, I find the ups: like D major, after C and G). So, this is "after dark" (dark black key of F), and brings P. Simon to my mind "reunion", only one step away. My bold assuming is that the empowerment of going down two, where one would have sufficed, leads to imagining to go up from the C, not to the sky of D but till there iso more, but renuion only a half note, not even a half note away from what wasn't easy in the first place. Cheers, Thanks for letting me be bubbly, it's not that it's your fault. Thank you for letting your space, very much in advance. Great teching, keep it up! P.S. I will edit the typos as soon as I see clearly, not now. so, as a custome, I'öö be sure back.

Nice explanation for beginners. But, there is more to the song than this. The part "Nothing else compares.... " Gb, Db, Ab... And the 3rd arpeggiated chord part on the main riff is Eb Ab C, not F Ab C... The overall chord is an Fm7. There is an F bass, but the arpeggio is Eb Ab C, where the Eb is the 7th of the Fm7. Towards the end the arpeggio changes when it's played a bit higher up.

Totally. This was actually my first ever KZbin video and experimentation with the multi-camera/light up keys, so I guess I was trying to keep it short. But, I’m glad to hear that you’d be down for a longer video! I think I was also afraid that a 30 minute video would turn people off, since most are looking for quick, easy and instant gratification.

You're going way too fast for a beginner to catch up. C flat D minor H sharp can you help with what all this means and where the keys are?
@pierrejpiscitelli
@pierrejpiscitelli Жыл бұрын
It's important not to expect real-time results to occur during the 6-7 minute duration of this video. You can slow it down, pause, restart, etc. In a private lesson, I could easily spend 45 minutes or so teaching this song to a student! No matter what, there are going to be plenty who feel that this is too easy, and others who believe it's too difficult as unfortunately it's impossible for me to know your experience or prior knowledge.The rate at which people learn, or what their baseline of musical knowledge might be varies tremendously. First thing you should do is learn the names of the notes on the piano. There are plenty of videos on this subject. Also, go on amazon and get some note labeling stickers to stick on your keyboard. This will help you as well. As soon as you see me demonstrate one of the three-note shapes, pause the video and take as long as you need to find the notes on the piano. All of the visual information that you need is here. Good luck!!

@@pierrejpiscitelli Experience? I helped someone move a piano once. This is the first time I've touched any musical instrument. 😁 I was really proud of myself until hearing this is like the absolute easiest song to learn on piano... I thought I was doing a difficult song!!

@@parkewithoutreverse2 It's really difficult to jump head-first into a piece like this without any musical knowledge. I feel your pain. No wonder you're frustrated!! Should I make a "crash course" video that explains the names of the notes, where they are, etc.?? While this is a beginner piece in some ways, there is a baseline of knowledge that you could learn quickly, that would make the whole process more pleasant for you.
