I think some people don't understand that many visual kei bands, including PIERROT, have coordinated dance movements that go along with the song called furitsuke. PIERROT has furitsuke for most of their songs, and often Kirito leads it. Nobody cares if you don't do furitsuke, but people who don't give off the impression that they are newbie fans. It may seem cheesy at first, but it's a different way of feeling the music with your body, and the atmosphere with everyone doing it is really full of energy in a much different way than when I see Western artists perform. Most furitsuke exists from a time when bands were still indies and did not have as many fans, so even at lives after they've soared in popularity, it serves as a reminder of the band's long history and how far they've come. I don't think everyone has to like it, but I think it's important to know exactly why Japanese fans behave this way before judging them as stupid drones.
