@@komi_san9945 The game itself is fine and I enjoyed it, but in the context of being a Resident Evil game, it really does lack a lot of things (aka it sucked). It didn’t know what it wanted to be and so tried to appeal to the absolute lowest common denominator. It was supposed to be like the survival horror of the original trilogy for old fans to enjoy (Leon’s campaign), the extreme action COD variant of 4 and 5 for modern fans (Chris’s campaign), and a mixture of the two with a nemesis-style pursuer to bring the two fans together (Jake’s campaign). But when you try to please everyone, you please no one. So it failed all three. Plus, hindsight is always kind to what has already came, but imagine a new RE being announced and you get…this. Kinda disappointing.

I thought simmons wasnt well written and the story kind of focuses a little too much on Ada, again this more simmons shit but i think he has no goals or reasons other than money and hes a creep. And the prologue is pointless. But i really like the gameplay, its a little too actiony but more like theres too many times where mid gameplay the camera zooms in on something distracting you from whats happening right in front of you. All the playable characters are good they have fun chemistry or at least there are good goals for them. resident evil may be silly but the villains are normally people with something to prove and some ascension like ideas. Simmons is just too all of a sudden here and hes also in love with Ada. Like cool what does that have to do with anything? But yeah there are so many little “oh why is this like that” that it forms more to complain about during its sales.

I would be sorely disappointed if nobody has made a GMV of RE6 and this scene to the song "This is War" by 30 Seconds to Mars, with Piers' sacrifice at the high point. Not to mention they have plenty of archetypes from Resident Evil to fit the different roles listed in the verses of that song. That moment where Chris opens his hand to find Piers' BSAA patch is the perfect moment to show at the very end of the song. Was up till midnight last night reading 2 Nivenfield romances I figured I'd better review the scene that spawned it XD. But I also wanted to say that the ending with Piers reminds me of a native american myth from the pacific northwest, one created to explain a Cascadia Mega Thrust quake and tidal wave long ago. The story says that Thunderbird and Whale had a horrible battle, and Thunderbird lifted Whale from the water and dropped him back down to the depths to stun him, causing the ground to shake and several forests to flood. You can still see these forests today in the Pacific Northwest. They're called "Ghost Forests" and consist of forests slowly turning into salt marsh and the jagged snags of the trees killed by flooding suffocating their roots and salt poisoning them overall. Because of the resemblance, I like to think Piers would have turned into a thunderbird had he lived.
