Pigeon Forge, Tennessee - Quick Weekend Trip

We had a weekend free on our way to North Carolina, so we decided to visit Pigeon Forge in Tennessee. We arrived on Friday evening, after making our way through the mountains, but had to leave Sunday. It was our first time to go there, unfortunately, it rained the whole day on Saturday. Sarah ended up having to spend most of the time training for a new job, and Jeremy and the kids drove around to see some of the interesting places. It was a quick trip, but fun just the same. We hope to go back one day and experience the area more.
While traveling through the Smoky Mountains to NC, our rig lost the necessary power needed to navigate the hilly terrain. After some research, we learned a dirty fuel filter could be the causing the problem. Thankfully we had a new spare filter on board, so Jeremy was able to fix the issue at a rest area. We were then able to continue our trip to our next destination, at Forest Lake RV & Camping Resort, which is a part of Thousand Trails.

Hey Guys. I seriously thought you guys were going to stay at the campground we always go to there in wears valley, when I saw on the video going from Townsend on wears valley rd. You guys should check out Honeysuckle Meadows campground there in wears valley. We have stayed here twice and we love it. Convenient to everything and such a nice area there, and the lots are rather spacious. A lot of full timers there but it’s still I nice place. They also have a pool and a snack shack cabin at the pool that is nice. It’s our fav place to stay when we go to the area! Hope y’all are doing good and safe!

Thanks for the recommendation!! We are always looking for good places to stay. It was so last minute for us going there that we took the first place available 🙈. It was called Walden’s Creek. The spots were tight but we were so close to everything.

@@LiveTodayLikeItMatters we drove in there but haven’t stayed there. We were recently in Hiawasee Ga this past weekend at Bald Mountain Campground and it was rather nice, but very crowded. You guys stay safe and maybe we will see ya on the road.
