It’s weird watching this for the first time in years because I literally didn’t learn that spies in disguise was based off of this until a few days ago. nuclear warheads need to go through a specific arming process as they are on their way too the target to blow up. If they don't have time to arm properly they don't explode. That's why there have been numerous cases of planes with nukes crashing and not detonating their warheads.

As a software engineer... My thoughts are that having the buttons active when the briefcase is closed is an awful idea. This is definitely a design problem, and not the fault of the rookie secret agent in the slightest. When you have a briefcase with the "BRB", you take every single last precaution against any "accidents".
