Pigeon John was interviewed for the book series *HOW TO RAP* and *HOW TO RAP2*, and shared his rapping techniques. Here he talks about editing lyrics. "A lot of times with the first draft, it’s just like [for] an author- you gotta edit that stuff. It’s a lot of times wordy or you repeat yourself and [have] too many syllables. I definitely cruise each line and try to make each line deafening. I think in general the more that I learn about [MCs I admire], they really do the down work-it sounds effortless, but I think there is a lot of trying, a lot of editing and pounding and getting the right tone."

I remember him from his Brainwash Projects days. You may not be able to tell from this new type of music that he's doing but he's actually one of the best emcees that I have ever heard. I was hoping that I would hear him rhyming but it's more of this type of stuff. More power to him but I was looking for the old Pigeon John type music. This is a really good song though.
