Im glad you keep uploading salt mines and florencio files, I know everything comes to an end but while were here, Im appreciative of the work you do and the commentary you put on your videos and the content you curate as well. Pig, as much as the pro casts are genuinely better quality content, salt mines is my favorite thing you've ever come up with. We've all dealt with arseholes like this and I can think of people I've talked to who don't play SC2 and other games online because they just don't want to deal with this crap. It's really enjoyable to laugh at problem people together. That, and just maybe the occasional one sees themselves getting featured and has a moment of realization.

I feel like this is common in a lot of games where players don't understand what the win condition of the game is. Like, SC2 win condition isn't "I outmacroed you for 10 minutes and took a good fight", the win condition isn't "demoralize the player until they leave". It's to destroy all their buildings. Everything else is just an instrumental goal to get there. Obviously dragging out the game on purpose isn't good sports, but you kinda have to prove to your opponent that you're able to convert your advantage into a win they can't escape, there is no reason why your opponent should be eager to leave as soon as they are at a disadvantage. This kinda reminds me of league where someone will get tons of kill, farm like a god, and then keep getting caught trying to 1v5 and refuse to regroup to push (typically after they've given so much gold to the ennemy team that they're the only player in their team that can compete), like, the goal of the game isn''t to get a gold lead or to win your lane. It's to destroy the nexus. if you don't convert your advantage into progress towards that goal the advantage doesn't matter. I guess it's common with games with ressource management and snowballing where player lose sight of their true goal and make instrumental goals as primary goal instead (there is a metaphor for the economy somewhere but I'm too tired to figure it out =p)

Why dont people wall off the secondary spot instead of primary? That way you have a buffer area before they even get to main base. walling off the secondary base area is also preventing them access to the main base.

I make one cannon out of range of the hatchery immediately then wait for the hatchery to reach 1050 HP and then make 2 cannons in range. They will finish a second after the hatchery finishes 🤣

This monologe about how it is so bad when you talk smack for you opponent, and how empty you are and how you have to live with yourself feeling bad, dude, some gamers are playing from ego, there is nothing wrong with that, people play games for different reasons, if your gaming is about skill levels and learning to get better and be a humble person to go on an adventure to achieve your goals that is awesome but if you can only feel good about a game when players have no personalities then play against A.I. A lot of people are passionate about gaming and they put their ego into the game because it give them pleasure to win, this is not an error, this is how you are supposed to feel when you win, the very concept of winning and losing is creating a ladder what you experience in starcraft too, when you say that people are "piece of crap" because they show their ego in a game, i just dont think that can handle that kind of pressure, but it is part of a competitive game. Sure players with big ego can fall hard, but they enjoy every minute of the victory multiple times more more than a person with your mindset will ever do. By the way, when you talk about these players as if they were garbage people in real life, you make assumptions to justify your way of thinking about them. Playing starcraft and ego tripping, calling you opponent names, putting your pride in the line, enjoying the high stakes, does not make anyone a bad person. They just like to enjoy their game differently than you do.

This is the same reason that I don't play competitive games anymore, because I would get really heated and it just was not healthy for me because I would play worse and it would in turn make me angrier. I realized it was just a game, it wasn't worth getting heated over, and I'd rather play games I don't get frustrated with than keep playing competitive games that did.

as a Protoss main, a lot of people on the ladder have been noticeably more salty upon losing to a standard macro game than when I mained Zerg. I don’t know why, but Protoss seems to bring out the salt in people incredibly well.

Also pretty sure you're talking about game 1 here where the entire commentary was focusing on how the player being so cocky and arrogant actually lead to them losing the game.
