It's cool that MaxPax took your advice so readily and applied it so successfully. It shows both that he's open-minded and a quick learner, and how spot on your analysis was and how much your opinion is respected even among pro players. Thanks for the great content, PiG!

It's just impressive how open minded AND quick to adapt Maxpax is, what a legend

@@PiGstarcraftI do wonder though, since Zerg can just take the gold base (the one in the middle of the map) as their 2nd, and it's hard for protoss to contest it. Maybe kill a ling or a drone if the adepts are micro'd well, but once lings have speed, it's still a free base for Zerg, no?
@WolfgangGaming-xq5rm6 ай бұрын
@HungTran-gz5em zergs ability to take and defend bases early has more to do with the power of Queens than it does speedlings Adepts and Oracles would pick them apart with two bases fully unconnected by creep like that.

I kind of wish that the maps pool changes and the balance changes were de synced from each other so that we could see the effect of just one at a time.

The title shoulda been “Maxpax used to be a youth. Now he’s a POST YOUTH“

Post youth is one of my favourite maps in the pool. It's new and interesting but most importantly it's one of the most detailed and beautiful maps we have had in the mappool ever. Everywhere you put the screen it looks nice and has fun details. The dead space has ruined highways, water running down on the the edge bases, with overgrowth over the tiles, it's really quite enjoyable to look at.

MaxPax seems to be a very quick learner and seems to be able to not only come up with builds, but also adopt other people's strategies very quickly. Meanwhile Dark seems to just have an innate understanding of Zerg which results in him being able to adapt build orders and playstyle on the fly. I think the difference is that MaxPax appears to learn counterplay and stuff through just playing a lot of games and having experience, while Dark has the rare (among sc2 players) ability to adjust strategy in the middle of the game.

Who doesn't think Kelazhur is good??? Sure, he doesn't put up wins in major tournaments, but he's got some deadly builds and is always capable of taking a map off of someone like MaxPax.

why does no one 12pool and mine out the minerals (gas trick at 4th)? I'm only diamond league but I feel I can always make it inside their base and snipe a nexus or something.
@snowdrop98107 ай бұрын
Its twenty minerals. You would have to send atleast 3 drones(one for gas, two to mine it) or send 2 across super fast. At that point, you're allin. And thus, they can propably fight you with like a zealot and 6 probes in the open, and you will be toast, especially when the adept gets out. Plus, you can easily full wall with a extra pylon, and just defend the mineral hole.

I've seen a few people trying it with some mixed results. Game 2 of Reynor vs Astrea he used it to open the main up: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWeQeoVqfbunfcksi=CNcdrGh0ZqJ07J_b

I only watch starcraft. What is the point of building 2 gate before cyber considering zealots are seldom built and cyber build time is longer than gateway?
