I like your take Mike that the Top three Arkansas Guys that we Lost to LSU and Oklahoma were more likely than not Offered more Money by those Schools. I admire Sam for not getting into a Bidding War for one Major Reason. If a Home State Kid who Loves the Razorbacks most of their lives growing up chose to go to another School cause of Money then they don't deserve to be Razorbacks. There is no Loyalty, they think they are Entitled to that Money which is Ruining the Game. These media types and Fans are Blaming Sam and his Staff for losing them which is Ludicrous when they should be Blaming the Kids for Selling out. It is Funny Curnes was all in, even Recruiting other Recruits, then Boom he is Gone. Same thing with Bear McWhorter, putting a Billboard up wanting to be a Hog. If you don't think Georgia and many other Schools didn't offer him more Money; you are way to naive and Quit Blaming Sam and the Staff. Blame the Students that have no Loyalty and Blame the Rich Donors who don't wanna give more Money to the Football Program. They being the donors, most want the Football Team to Fail so we can Start over next Year. That is reason Millions are being Spent on Basketball and the Hawaiian Kid(Ahoy I think)is the Highest paid Nil Athlete on Campus. I am a Pretty Good Judge of Razorback Sports; being a fan for almost 60 Years which is more than 90%of the people that Comment on here. Keep up the Awesome Work Mike and Courtney

Correction regarding Joscelyn Roberson…she does not get a medal unless she competes. Alternates do not get medals at the Olympics unless they are actually on the team and compete. One of the other team members would have to withdraw for her to get a medal.

To Mike’s point, fans should be most concerned with a month or so from now and get behind our team. Courtney is correct that we are behind in developing in state talent. We can do better. That said, it’s the Wild West out there in recruiting. Totally fluid situation so we need players that can and want to play for us now! 2025 doesn’t matter if 2024 isn’t positive

It makes perfect sense that Helfrick would be playing first base in summer ball. A catcher only has so many bends in his knees. I would think DVH would want him resting his knees and concentrating on hitting. So that makes a lot of sense. As for his hitting, it is interesting that both he and Aloy are hitting so well with wooden bats. That is really going to stand out to MLB scouts. So this is all good and trying to turn it into some negative rant on coach Thompson's coaching is just typical agenda crap.

Fans negative comments are a result of our record. Recruits come based on $ now but also on our poor record. Recruits have seen too many previous recruits go to hogs and suffer terrible seasons. Become relevant again and recruits will come while negative comments will decrease. Hopefully Petrino will improve the record and therefore recruiting.

Mike, Hunter Yurachek put us two years behind the NIL eight ball by openly griping about it and trying to fight it and threatening to try to legislate against it. Meanwhile, on day one, teams like aTm and Texass, et al, were creating NIL funds. Face it, these kids are mercenaries. It’s all about the money. The basketball roster is a perfect example. In truth, we will be cheering for “The Fightin’ Caliparis”, who will just so happen to be wearing Razorback red. You get what you pay for. I wish Jerry Jones would turn the Cowboys over to Stephen, or better yet, sell the team, and throw all of his considerable money into the football team. I don’t care anymore if Arkansas kids go elsewhere. It’s about the kids that come here and, as you well know, the best teams we’ve had came from East Texas players. We need to be camped out in a fifty mile radius of Texarkana, particularly on the Texas side. There’s a roster full of athletes down there. BTW, you are spot on: spend the money out of state.

Mike Irwin has gotten to the point where he refuses to say anything that might be negative or critical of the UofA athletic department. The football program is in the dump and Pittman is on the verge of being fired, it's only a matter of when. It's not just some fabrication by disgruntled fans on Twitter. The current recruiting class is going to be ruined because once Pittman is fired most of these commitments will reopen their recruiting. Since signing day is in early December, the new coach hired won't have enough time to put together a decent class. Arkansas football just keeps falling behind due to poor decisions by those in charge. Just look at Ole Miss and Missouri compared to Ark. Both hired their coaches at the same time and they're riding high and Ark is in the abyss.

Really stupid to think fans are the reason Sam is a disaster. You really think Arkansas Coaches and Arkansas athletes can't see the disaster you are insane! The players absolutely see that player development is not happening under Pittman. Every year you guys make excuses for Sam being terrible. Two years ago it was all about the Strength and Conditioning coach's fault. He was turning players against the staff for NIL. But he was allowed to stay on staff until the end of the season? Last year it was Enos fault when KJ turned the entire oline against him on the way he was allowed to act. Either way you look at it Sam was the HC!!!! Everybody knows Sam Pittman couldn't even get a head coaching job anywhere else but here. He's been in over his head and the program has been in decline since that second year with Burks and all those super seniors like Grant Morgan providing the leadership, not the head coach. It will all be over soon for Pittman and maybe the next coach will provide a little excitement and positive energy and be someone fans can have confidence in.

He allowed KJ to destroy team chemistry last year because he's weak. Need a real coach and I don't care what level he comes from. Just a coach that has been in control of the entire team.

The sorry state of the program and the lame duck head coach is what is affecting recruiting. Asking fans not to complain would be like expecting people not to complain if they keep getting served crappy food at a restaurant
