I used to work in airport security, and if a sign in an airport tells you not to enter somewhere, it’s really best not to. If your bag was being stopped because of something suspicious it would have been held back way before that point. I think that there must have been a problem in the chute where your bag comes down, but still, to airport security it looks suspicious if you’re reaching into a restricted area to retrieve your bag. I think it was only searched because Austin reached to get it.
@esargee2707 Жыл бұрын
The bag wasn’t being held, it was stuck lol
@RamdomManeGenerator Жыл бұрын
@@esargee2707 It doesn’t matter whether it was stuck or being held, you don’t do that at a airport, especially when you’re in another country because everything will look suspicious. That was the point of the OP’s comment. They had other options besides doing that. They just didn’t want to take the extra steps to do something else. Flying is a big inconvenience and you just have to deal with. Not break the rules.
@yoitzmo16 Жыл бұрын
People were telling you to wait. Austin should’ve waited. This was probably in a matter of 10 mins. Patience is needed in situations like this, especially when it comes to airport security in a foreign country. It’s not a time to mess around with rules
@leesa4742 Жыл бұрын
I’m sorry but that is insane I would never ever go I to a restricted area there is a reason it is restricted. I get you lost your patience but you are very lucky breaking laws in another country is not best idea. vapes also explode on planes .. look it up. Each country Manufactured things differently such as things from China and things from America aren’t always allowed in different countries
@ikixazz23 Жыл бұрын

I dont think it fell off. It sounds like it was put there for secondary inspection. I had to stand and wait for my bag to go through secondary inspection too. It was like within reach but it said not to do it. It was because i had my deodorant in my bag that is a liquid and looked weird. So because you broke the rules you will probably get a letter from tsa with a fine.

My husband and I went to Cancun for our honeymoon… I had the absolute WORST panic attack of my life in that airport. My husband didn’t have the correct passport even tho the airlines allowed us to fly there. The immigration police separated us and were sending my husband back. As I was unable to breath, the immigration office was so rude and threatened to have me arrested. I had to find my way through that airport to Southwest to get myself back on a flight (was so lost since I was panicking). Thank god I was able to get on the same flight with him back to the U.S. A security guard told my husband if we didn’t get on a flight back, we’d have to stay at this hotel they use for these situations which is known for kidnapping Americans and gang crime. I’m scarred by that airport.
@thequazify Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry that this happened to you, just curious how did your husband have a wrong passport? Unfortunately airlines don't care, they just want the money so its on the passengers to make sure the visas/passports ect are all appropriate. So unfortunate
@hannahgrace5183 Жыл бұрын
@@thequazify thank you! So yes it is partially our fault, but the airline at 2 airports allowed as to pass and enter Mexico. We actually were told the airlines get fined from that. They should’ve denied us at true first airport (which I would’ve rather had).

23:39 Definitely, I had the opportunity to visit Mexico (Mazatlán) for my first time back in February. I think it's important to smile and be polite to anyone such as a customs agent. I had a real slick experience myself (I didn't have a checked bag). There were two lines. There was one line for residents and another for tourists. I stood in the tourist line. Someone went into the wrong line (residents line instead of the tourist one) and got told off (which is understandable). However, I was lucky and got to go through the faster residents line (despite not being one) as the guy yelled "next" and looked right at me. I smiled and said "I'm not a resident." The agent smiled and waved his hand pleasantly beckoning and said with a smile "That doesn't matter." I made sure to thank him and I was on my way. My uncle (who visits frequently) was quite surprised when I told him that story about the level of English the agent had. Anyways, ultimately respect the country and its people.

Just a side note but you can't carry vapes on checked bags either!! So obviously if the country bans it, you can't bring it in, but if you're traveling somewhere else you can't put it in your. checked bags! the lithium batteries are really flammable and they don't carry the battery on the plane's storage, kind of like how all of your electronics have to be on your carry on, so same with vapes! Vapes will pass fine through security when it's in your carry on, depending on what kind of country you're in of course, but it's a worldwide rule that you can't put a vape in checked bags!! I think also it has to do with the level of security each country has, some are def more strict than others where they would catch when your bag enters the country through baggage claim . But just for your future travels, this will be good to know and you can search online for more of the details and specifics! I ALWAYS always use TSA to check what I can and can't bring on flights when traveling and this link is super SUPER helpful! www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/all
