This is lovely Raych....You can easily peel your cloves by hitting one by one once with the mortar, hiyo ngozi ya juu inatoka very fast, plus you don't need to boil tomatoes and bonda them, you can easily blend or grate your tomatoes but still you dont need tomatoes to cook pilau

You is a PRO I MUST TRY YOUR RECIPE......The only time I dont mind potatoes with rice.....but I deep fry the potatoes first for like 2 minutes ndio isivunjike, add hot water then the foil will come in after the water drains, Iower heat and simmer FOR LIKE EVER na bado na panic isionje changarawe rice haijaiva or itoke over cooked🤣🤣🤣

Hi, Raych. That pilau looks super yummy. I don't add tomatoes to my pilau instead, I make sure the onions are enough. Also, I use bone broth instead of water for my rice to boil and cook. Lastly, tomato peelings are very good on the skin lol, I never throw them away. Just rub on your face, let it dry then rinse off haha. Next time do chapos.

That "boiling" of tomatoes is called blanching...those blanched tomatoes are called concasse tomatoes ...skinned and deseeded
