Fantastic bit of pike fishing nostalga, I learned a lot from Nevs books and chatting to him in person and as a customer of the tackle shop back in the day. The lucebaits livebait paternoster boom was a godsend back then put many a good pike on the bank. Great watch with good advice from back then.

It's called progress, live baiting thankfully now banned on most waters and properly regulated elsewhere. Transferring fish from water to water can spread disease.

fish damage wasnt caused by no boats though.. prob cormorant damage.. i see it all the time., also liked the boat fishing segment, like all the old elektrics .. and the 50lb anchor (atleast)... ive got it easy now with the modern fishfinder/lithium... no more heavy lifting before and after fishing..
