Absolutely love the scale of this game, plus it also gave me a feel for how English Civil War battles (my #1 interest) might unfold, using these rules. Thanks ever so much for making all the effort this obviously needed to get it on to You Tube; you've helped me in my hobby pursuits enormously.

Thanks, I enjoyed it. Will do another soon. Is it worth making longer but including activations and dice rolls?

Well done Alec! really enjoyed this one and I think Pikemans Lament should get more attention. Really seemed to work well on your table. More Please, Cheers👍

It did work well, as I hoped it would. I will do more. I could video all activations, but it could make it rather long which may put people off. What do you think?

Thanks for the battle report. It was interesting to see the battle at a large scale.

Alec, Always interesting and fascinating to read your reports. To consider as a variant: Have you never thought of mixing pike and shot in a single unit:? Result: fewer units, faster results.

I will try a game using that idea, as I had thought it should work myself, but I would add a house rule of regimental (three units) moving on one activation. I think it will work, but there is only one way to find out. :) I will try soon

A great looking game with beautiful armies, no doubt!

Excellent experiment with larger forces. If anything, I’d suggest the game works better with more troops, provided you adopt your method of activation. The lack of success of the Trotters might explain why everyone switched to Gallopers.
