I love this floor. Maybe I just like explosions, but I liked going through and punching all the bombs, then avoiding the rest of the traps as I came to them. It's very methodical.

If I remember right, the cannon beetles will try to shoot without turning if they're being attacked. So, it's like they're locked into firing directly in front of them.

1:09 - I can attest to that. I lost 20 Pikmin in this dungeon today because one of those beetles threw them off a cliff while in battle. Wasn't expecting the numbers Chuggaa had in this dungeon, but would have been nice if my 3 deaths prior (two to a stupid snitchbug; one off a bomb blast that threw him off cliff) would have been the only ones.

The Larva wasn't targetting the President, it's because in Pikmin 2, not 3, the Larva (As well as Fiery and Watery Blowhogs) will always deploy their attack after doing their animation where they throw Pikmin off.

actually, it's a mechanic in the cannon beetles and the blowhogs. After lashing forward to know pikmin off, they instantly shoot again. I think the idea is they throw the pikmin off and as they attempt to charge back, the foe shoots and takes the pikmin down.

to answer your question at :44 you can't attack fire geysers because then you could enter a dungeon without red pikmin, and ultimately avoid element specific hazards.

When I first went through Sublevel 5, I never knew the conditions of bombs falling down. I thought I was doing pretty well when I only lost a few pikmin when I got to the treasures. I also thought that my pikmin would be completely safe carrying the treasure back to home since I activated all traps. I lost over 60 pikmin that day, and now I'm a strong supporter of No pikmin left behind.
