Oh my gosh, I've recently been playing Pikmin again and I was curious about mods for when I completed my Pikmin 2 run... didn't see anything too exciting that changed the game up while having a normal story and wasn't memeing the whole time. I have no idea how I never heard of this mod, I can't thank you enough for making this, its exactly what I needed in my life

I wanted to take a moment to greatly praise this hack! Decided to see if there were any hacks for PIkmin 2 (one of my top games) and stumbled upon this! I could not believe the quality of it, and it isn't just a "Kaizo" styled alteration. It feels very fresh and new. The dialogue changes make it all the better, and it isn't a silly meme. Some silly jokes like the intro and such are there, but are done in a colorful way with character and don't over-stay their welcome. Your 9-months of work have brought one man some very great happiness. Thank you!

Update! The game works great on console, but two player mode does NOT work if you select progressive scan mode. But it works great if you select no, and I think it's still in 480p. Hopefully this saves someone some trouble!! I can't wait to finally play with my gf.

been busy with college, but finally got around to finishing pikmin 251 in its entirety. I haven't done the 2 player vs or much of the challenge mode yet, but just 100% completed the main story mode. U constantly kept impressing me as I played. Right when i'd thought I'd seen everything the mod had to offer, u pulled something unexpected out from nowhere. I thoroughly enjoyed the mod!! U didn't just change the game, u built a whole new game! The unique music and treasures were an added bonus! If i had to criticism any of it, I'd have to say one of the early casino levels had broken pathfinding. Also, I really didn't like how u set up the Waterwraith cave. It was my least favorite part of the mod. That being said, I hope this isn't the end of your modding days! I hope to see your next big project. If it is even half as good as this mod, then I can't wait for it! Thanks for the mod!

I just completed Day 5 in this hack, and I have to say how much I am absolutely loving it! Painted Bulborbs are a nightmare to deal with (lost 50 Pikmin in 1 day just to them), but everything else seems awesome!

This is seriously the most fun I've had Pikmin related in such a long time. The level design, art, dialogues, and dedication that went into this is just astounding. -I did see you wanted to be alerted if anyone ran into any issues, and I'm having a problem whenever I try to view the dialogue for Louie's sales pitch on any treasure, or when I complete a treasure series: "using an unknown/unimplemented sample source 000f". It doesn't crash the game, but I have to close the dialogue and advance the game 1 frame at a time until the full dialogue has popped up, taking a minute or so per treasure. Luckily, it doesn't impact the main gameplay of the game, but I figured you'd want to know.- Edit: Figured out how to turn the warnings off in Dolphin's settings, and everything's running great. For anyone interested; in Dolphin go to Options>Configuration>Interface>Disable the "Use Panic Handlers" option. Thanks for paving the way for high-quality Pikmin mods!

Out of curiosity, how would one get started on learning how to make a romhack like this? What kind of programming knowledge/experience did you need to make this? Sweet job on this by the way, this is really fun.

a lot of the game is plain text files, which helps a lot. Making caves is actually a great way to start messing with pikmin. Theres a great cave making program you should look into. I also learned a lot about 3d modelling in 3dsmax for this hack, as well as learning a lot about how music works. As for the actual programming, I know very little but I had great friends that helped me out with it. Glad you enjoyed the hack!
