I’d say the main campaign 100% is 10 hours. But the get treasure and defeat enemies modes are mini levels with mini bosses, fruits, etc. If you have another local player, bingo battle is a lot of fun. I did everything, including a lot of bingo battle, and had 25 hours

The series also has low sales numbers like Metroid, but a lot of people actually keep asking for Metroid compared to Pikmin. I’d love to be wrong though and Pikmin 4 gets revealed anyway

Crazy how our perception of time changes. The gap between Pikmin 2 and 3 felt like a lifetime, when 3 was announced it was like a remnant from my childhood coming back. But now it feels like Pikmin 3 was out just a couple of years ago when in fact it's been almost as long now.

Another neat QOL improvement is when Pikmin are done with a task and you have a leader near them, they automatically rejoin their squad, thus negating the need to whistle as often. Then there’s other improvements like automatic calling Pikmin that are thrown near a leader when you switch to said leader and they also added a quick throw ability when you press and hold the A button on a locked on target, making it easier to throw more Pikmin faster without mashing buttons. Just overall some really nice improvements that I hope carry over to Pikmin 4(if it ever gets released😔)

Easily my favorite franchise from Nintendo, and having this gem on the go is beyond awesome. The rendering of nature is constantly beautiful and a pleasure to play in, and watching your orders being carried out by your troops is endlessly entertaining and gratifying. I also love the backstory of Pikmin’s inception...Miyamoto working in his garden seeing ants working. Guy’s a creative genius. I do hope we’re going to eventually see Pikmin 4 on Switch, which is rumored to have been shelved due to poor sales of their spinoff series. C’mon Ninty make it happen!

Pikmin 2 needs an HD remaster. That was the best in the series. Pikmin 3 was my least favorite. Mostly because it was too short, and it had no treasure collecting (which I really loved).

I think this game was built with the gamepad in mind. Being able to simply look down to see the map and access useful tools instead of having to stop the game entirely, is most definitely noticable, ESPECIALLY in Co-op

If you haven't played any Pikmin before, I'd start on Normal. It's a really unique game that takes a little bit to understand. You can always change the difficulty if you think it's too easy.

Probably because there are a lot of polygons on screen, up to 100 Pikmin which can be taxing.

Pikmin is more about resolution than frame rate, so you can see all the small things. Miyamoto himself said he wants to wait until a resolution upgrade to 1080p or 4k before making a new pikmin game

The new content is an easy mode, the hard mode being easier than the Wii U version, the really hard mode being artificially difficult, worse controls, coop without online which could be a pretty decent addition for some but won’t affect others, and new Olimar mission mode levels which are just remixed versions of the original levels.
