Info: Pikmin 4 is an upcoming real-time strategy game being developed and released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. It is the fourth main installment in the Pikmin series and is scheduled for release on July 21, 2023. @@amymcelroy4130I just 100%’d Pikmin 4 last night and I don’t think there were side quests related to perfecting the Sage Leaf Trials. There is however platinum and gold side quests for the Dandori battles and challenges. There’s also an after-ending extra side quest when you reload the save file. It’s nothing too crazy but because you get some 100% goodies only after you fully beat the game I guess they gave you a little something to actually use them on.

Dig Deep is absolute hell without the pluck whistle. I’ve tried so many times but would always run out of time when I had to get the big melon.

I managed it by keeping all the water frozen 100% of the time, and at the very end (a minute or so left) rounding every single pikmin on the field up for the melon

Just get oatchi to get some of the water treasures. Also, sacrificing a white to kill the joustmite saves a lot of time

By god, i can see Sage Leaf starting quiet alot of fan theories. Id say, this is a pretty good side dungeon id say, the reward is especially worth it. It feels like you truly became a master captain after getting these onions.

I managed to finish these this morning (finish not platinum) and I gotta say, without the pluck whistle, these are a pain in the ass, especially the final one, and mostly for the first bit because I was worried that the water wrath was waiting to run over all my purple Pikmin the second I finished plucking.

The pluckaphone makes the challenges actually platinum possible. I'd say if you want a real challenge, unequip all upgrades and see how well you can fare against the challenges or even complete them at all.

At this point I don't care if I get even one platinum (I was a few seconds off on Gimmick Gambit, oh well, I wanted to play it safe with the bomb spider) I just want to get past these levels. I'm on the last one now and these have been extremely helpful to get me an idea of how to go through them, although I don’t have all the upgrades so it's inherently not as good even if I did follow along exactly

I was struggling on the last one just because i didn't know the 3 purples in the hydro jelly were there, so i was going all the way to the end to fet 10 purples, then going all the way back to give oatchi the onion, and then getting to the end again. I couldn't do it, but once i found those 3 purples it was easy.

On the purple pikmin one I realized even with a flower there were to slow so instead I used oatchi since then I could target and get more things done

I'm guessing the super long oatchi dash is an mega endgame upgrade? Cus I have 6 levels of rush and can't go that far

It becomes visible in the menu after teaching Oatchi every move, but you need to rescue every castaway and cure every leafling to have the Pup points necessary to purchase it. Since the last castaway is in the final cave, you'll only be able to use it after beating the final boss. Still pretty useful for Sage Leaf though.

I think the onions only stay separate or people finish the game before they can merge so Nintendo noticed it and made it so they don’t fuse at ending
