To this day, this is one of my favorite fan-made video game crossovers I have ever seen that managed to get completed. Pikmin 4 is also on the horizon, so I guess that's also a bonus. Another unusual crossover I could think of for you to try and do is Super Mario RPG: Legend of The Seven Stars or Kirby mixed with Chrono Trigger (often regarded as the *greatest* RPG in the world).

Anyone else wonder what constitutes as a “killing jump” in this series? I mean, earlier in the SMB3 segment Mario kills the Bulborb just by jumping on it, but HERE ( 1:15:08 ) Luigi jumps off a significantly smaller Wolly Wog, and it’s perfectly fine.

that's because the Wholly Wog as a higher bouncyness than the Bulburb, the same principle explain why you can easily bounce off a trampoline while attempting to do the same on unbouncy things-such as a dog- lead to some visually unappealing outcomes

@@firecreeper2249 if a Pikmin can stay on a big bulborb just as well as a Wolly wog when thrown at it, then the Bros should have just as easy a time jumping on both.

@@whybother5741 I don't see why that'd be the case? bouncing is all about throwing back a mass where it came from with a proportional energy it itself received. Mario is obviously way fatter than pikmin which also have to deal with air resistence, so of course mario would make a significantly stronger hit, which allow for the wolly wog's special ability to react to it. On top of that you also have to take into account that Mario and the pikmins have both developed an entirely different strategy in order to deal with foes, the pikmins have evolved in order to be able to more effectively stick to their opponent in order maximise damage and therefore their own chance of survival, whereas Mario's strategy has been perfected in order to favour air mobility, i.e. intentionally bouncing back as high as possible in order to be as far away from ground danger as well as trivialise platforming challenges that attemps to slow down his weekly rescue of Peach

Because in the Smb2 part it’s confirmed he was dreaming the whole time, and in this compilation and the last one specifically, it was added that Peach was being kidnapped during smb2, implying that Mario may have decided to sleep for an extra day. Anyways getting back to point, what Mario can and cannot kill via jumping is inconsistent enough for me to pass it off as just being done for the sake of the joke. Especially considering the fact that even if what you’re saying is true, then that brings into question why Mario didn’t immediately squish the Bulborb _here:_ 14:56

​@@whybother5741 I'd definitely ignore the smb2 dream thing if I were you, even inside the canon mario timeline (let's pretend that's an actual thing) subcon isn't just a dream but is actually a fully fledged dream world, the mechanics surrounding it aren't well developed (because it was made for NES game with no dialogue, duh!) but the intro of the game as well as the manual both state that mario, in the real world, entered a door that transported him to subcon, then later smb2 would get a japan only sequel named BS mario USA which had the subcon inhabitants ask mario to come back because wart was back, and later on in color splash an NPC tell you that he slept and was transported to the world of subcon. all in all, the fictitiousness of mario 2 is really not something that need to be worried about for. Now onto the second part of your comment: Why didn't he squish the bulborg? Well physcically he simply couldn't, following mario2 physics, mario is only capable standing on the head of his enemies in order to then grab them and throw them somewhere else. Morally speaking, what led to him not getting rid of the Bulborg? Well that's simple; Mario is apathetic towards the life of creatures he finds inferior. It is no secret that Mario doesn't care about animal crualty, at no point in this entire series did Mario ever react to any of the brutal death he makes his enemies endure, for instance. When it comes to his underlings, Mario had only ever shown concern on an extremely limited number of occasions, and considering most of these instances happened later rather than sooner, I think it's safe to say that Mario's respect towards Pikmin kind only grew as time went on, meaning that by the your the example you linked happened, mario really didn't care about the future of this pikmiin and only wanted to use it as a tool in order to reaquire the defect that had organised a pikmin party.
