what gauge wire can you fit into the terminals? Trying to run 12g but can fit it into the small ports

Hi, I just purchased this system and connected it as described, but the Loco starts up at high speed, and there's no way I can't get it to slow down, any suggestions?

Hi @StanGauge, if you have a question or issue you can always contact PIKO America at support@piko-america.com or M-F 9-5 at 619-280-2800. We have a few simple questions to ask you before we can really diagnose what is happening so please contact us about this. (Question like... Are the red/white and black wires in the correct location? Is the red light turning on when you press a button on the remote? Are you hearing any noises from the system? What loco are you using? etc.) We can offer tips that get most folks running, things to check or handle any possible warranty issues at our support lines.

Can you show the hand held controller up close while you are pushing the buttons? I just received a set and it has NO description or manual for the controller. What does each button mean?

Hi @mxachary, You can see a manual for the set and controller on the item page here: www.piko-america.com/products/35028-r-c-analog-power-set?_pos=1&_sid=4bae5c775&_ss=r

Hi, I am running a 3 track (single rail isolated) sidings using 2 in line R1 points with the longest siding being 180cm. Since installing this remote control I find that my BR80 does not gain enough speed to cross the points also on reversing into the siding I get a lot of sparking as the engine crosses the points. Have you any suggestions other than increasing the length of the sidings to combat this. Otherwise great product and would recommend to anyone. Cheers.

Keith, without more detail it is hard to say what your issue is. Contact us at 619-280-2800 or email us at info@piko-america.com so we can assist you. (video would help if possible) It could be that the acceleration is not enough to get the small loco over the frogs on a short siding, it could be worn pickups on the loco, it could be worn wipers in the gearbox, or other things - hence why its best to contact us. You could always add wiring to a trailing car with ball-bearing wheels, wiring it to the loco, in order to add more distance of electrical pickup. Sparking would be very unusual, but might be possible if the pickup shoe is damaged, cut, or is not breaking its contact with the frog very well. (Or maybe if the shoe is touching the opposite rail, which could be fixed by bending the outboard edges of the shoes upward... slightly.) Again, ALL of this can be handled via email or over the phone if you just reach out to us.

It appears the third loco is on another track Can I power two separate tracks from one transformer Also what is the function of changing the frequency if it only increases power to the same track- multiple locos will eventually catch up to each other
@danpikoamerica73143 жыл бұрын
Raphael sicincki, Yes, this video shows three locos running off of the 35028. You can power two separate loops, or layouts, with one power supply if you have wired them this way... up to the max output of the system. As for changing frequencies, this is different from increasing or decreasing the power to the track. If multiple locos are run on the same track it is possible they could catch up to each other, but using our 35040 can help you fix that by allowing individual loco control of the power available. The options designed into this system allow you to use two different power systems on different layouts or control multiple different locos in different ways - like using our 35040 R/C Receiver. The system was designed for ultimate flexibility and simplicity!
