Pileated Woodpeckers on the Concord River

In 2022 I saw one Pileated Woodpecker and jumped for joy. Well this year, 2023, I'm doing a super happy dance (well, a little dance because my hip is in a log of pain from all the falls I've taken) because I have three Pileated Woodpeckers. Three!!!
Pileated Woodpeckers are one of the largest woodland birds, measuring 15 - 19 inches in length and weighing in at 9 - 12 ounces.

Yes, crutches. I’ve fallen several times since October. Screwed up my newest hip that was installed in March of 2020. It’s going to be a fun gardening season. 🤪💞
