I tip my hat to Gabir Tolnai! The HO scale engines and rolling stock look very realistic and the DCC sounds are superb. The layout landscape looks beautiful and realistic. And finally, I LOVE the catenary because I am a traction enthusiast! I truly enjoyed watching!

Merry Christmas from Colorado, USA! This is an amazing layout and superb cinematography by Gabor, and editing by Pilentum, to produce this wonderful video presentation. This was quite a nice Christmas gift to the model railroading world, and thank you for that, both of you! This layout is so spectacular, that I'm afraid that in my commentary, I will exhaust the English language of its superlative adjectives and adverbs. I may be forced to throw in a bit of my very rusty and inadequate Deutsch, "Fantastische! Ausgezeignet!", etc. First, it is truly amazing how much model railroading realism and excitement that Gabor has managed to squeeze into a 5' X 9' layout, even in HO scale....quite extraordinary. By the way, thank you for the seasonal background music subtly phased in, "Adeste Fidelis", or as we English speakers sing it, "O' Come All Ye Faithful", a world's classic Christmas hymn for all faiths. I'm sure that many of us appreciated your addition of that audio Christmas card so appropriately today, Pilentum. The trackwork is perfection. I never detected a single unrealistic wobble or jiggle as locomotives or cars rolled over track joints or turnout frogs, a genuinely great achievement. The effect is that of watching prototype engines and and rolling stock weighing many tons gliding along with massive inertia steadying their progress over the steel rails and well ballasted sleepers. I loved watching that. The catenary system is also superbly constructed and realistic. Obviously there are no unsupervised little kids or house cats in this house with all those intricate and delicate wires running everywhere! The sound effects are fantastic. The locomotive sounds recorded from the prototypes and delivered from the models' onboard sound systems are just perfect. This is the best matching of realistic brake squeal to model movement I have ever heard on any model railroad, including ones costing millions of dollars constructed by superb custom layout builders. Also loved the platform Meister's whistle effect! Gabor must have done some serious tweaking of his locomotives' electromechanical drive systems to achieve such smooth slow speed performance. With only one minor exception, every startup and stopping sequence was amazingly smooth and prototypical, entirely without a jerk or hesitation. Very prototypical, the best I've ever seen! I admire Gabor's touch in weathering his rolling stock and locomotives, just the right amount to capture what we would expect to see on prototypes operating in first class contemporary European railroading. I could go on and on, but I see your eyelids are drooping, so I'll wind this up with humbly giving a grade of A++ to Gabor's truly world class layout creation, and superlative cinematographic excellence. Great video and stunning layout. I had to mute the sound though. It boggles my mind that some people like DCC sound and pay so much for it. It's incredibly unrealistic and irritating most of the time. Very occasionally I hear one that sounds fairly good but it's less than one in ten.
