Love this company. Their lil WWVB receiver board works quite well even in this Man Faraday Cave.

This video is a good example of why im trying to encourage my sons into learning electronics. I want to do kit build with them but they are not interested as of yet.

you lucky SOB! whilst i'm grateful to the donator helping with the good vids and showing warmth and sharing and passing forward good intentions..... i am one mighty jealous person! i can't even find decent kits that are not shite quality.. but you, you jammy thing, get them sent to you.

Now you know where to order from. I’ve had great experience with them - a bit more expensive than ordering from China but worth it for the fast shipping and good customer service.

Might be commercially viable to manufacture a whole plastic breadboard with 12V USB-C on the top, down regulated to 5V/3.3V on the rails. Power related jumps on the left side, smooth and clean on top.

I have been buying from them for years while I was sad when they moved to Ontario, I understand why ultimately they had to make the decision.

Nice haul. I have no preference for which one you do first. I ordered the clock kit yesterday and plan on completing it soon. I'm hoping it should be easy to hack on a proximity sensor so I can just put my hand over the sensor and have the clock illuminate, I otherwise want it off at night because I find clocks distracting when I try to sleep. The LEDs are bi-colour red/green when you provide either a high or low signal. I'd like to have the red in the dark and green when the photo sensor is detecting light. Take care.
@pileofstuff
@pileofstuff 10 ай бұрын
Given that the clock runs on a Nano, that shouldn't be much harder than a bit of code. Assuming there are any GPIO pins spare, of course...
@canaduino
@canaduino 10 ай бұрын
The LEDs are dual red/green in APD (anti-parallel diodes) connection. The color switches when the polarity switches. Since you can't switch the polarity in the circuit, you need to make your decision about the color when you assemble the LEDs.

It must have a qc handshake ic. Cool jig. Im gonna send you some custom guitar pedal kits im designing kent if you want a few. I ordered a ton of new old stock from ussr. Germanium transistor and diodes, along with a cool custom case for each and you can daisy chain them. I dont use pedals and im making like 15 of them haha.

That would be cool! I'll have to rope my kid into service to help demonstrate them after I build them!

What a lovely bunch of kits! I like the relay shield. Are those relays opto-isolated, and do they have any flyback diodes for inductive loads?

We'll find out when I build the kit. Based on previous kits of his that I built in the past, I expect they will be properly designed and well protected.

I don't know how you are blackening parts of the shipping labels but it looks like a little heat. A heat gun will blacken the whole thing very quickly. I use one when reshipping just to make sure the various bar codes and labels to not confuse machinery somewhere.
@pileofstuff
@pileofstuff 9 ай бұрын
Yup, I use my heat gun. Takes no time to do.
