its by forging a gem into your weapon at the obsevertory, getting a gem required you to fight an enemy which spawn with the meteor, when the meteor landed, the enemy will spawn, its either a thief or a peeble, kill them and you get a gem, theres many different kinds.

From my experience, it's possible to cheese the Prism Troll by setting your spawn at the Prairie, dying then going back to him ASAP - it's especially easy if you have the Storm Boots. If you do this fast enough, you should be able to get to him before his HP resets. So if you wanna cheese him, you COULD try that.
