I watched this debate live while i was studying in Cebu and my initial impression still stands: Binay: Bolero, whiny, deflected more times than he answered questions, typical trapo. I wouldn’t trust him with my life savings Poe: A good debater but isn’t above ad hominems when push comes to shove (especially when Binay mentioned about her Dual Citizenship), she’d make a great lawmaker or diplomat. But President? No. If she’s not careful, she might be just a few terms away from becoming a trapo Roxas: Mayabang, pikon, all bark and no bite, seems beholden to this “Daang Matuwid” culture (is it even real or is it just a devious way of sticking to the status quo?). Seems like a decent guy off air except when he transforms into this Epal creature once the cameras turn on Duterte: Assertive, witty, a straight shooter, a good negotiator i.e. handling the Binay situation, and out of all the candidates, except Miriam (may she Rest In Power), has the track record to back up his statements. A true Alpha - born to lead. I voted for Miriam but i wasn’t disappointed when Duterte won. 😊

Who to vote? It's not even a question if you just reviewed all their platforms. Who's the only man who wants to revive our ailing local industries? Who's the only man who wants to revive our manufacturing industry? Who's the only man who wants to revive our nuclear plants? Who's the only man who wants to revive our steel industry? (a crucial industry if you want to become an economic powerhouse) Who's the only man who wants a self-sufficient Philippines? (We should EXPORT, not import) Who's the only man who wants to rent out some islands to multi-national corporations so they can actually grow it like Hong Kong and Singapore? (Kaysa naman nakatengga lang?) Who's the only man who promotes Federalism? (I was already a strong advocate of Federal-Parliamentary system kahit hindi ko pa kilala si Duterte noon. I knew it was the only REAL solution to these mess) And lots more... See? The vision is what's important. And clearly, wala nyan ang ibang Presidential candidates. When most people think of Duterte, akala nila puro against crime and corruption lang ang kaya nyang gawin. Wrong. I'm a person with very high standards. For me, being not corrupt is not enough. We need a *leader*, not a politician! Yung iba, sinasabi papabilisin daw ang internet. Hindi naman alam kung paano gagawin. See? Madali kasing magsalita eh. I only admire action men with a *concrete and realistic plan of action*, not just people who likes to talk, talk, talk. "Simple change" is not enough. We need *RADICAL CHANGE!* The Philippines is like a tree with stage 4 cancer. Kaya useless talaga kung puputulin mo lang ang bunga (it's what most candidates are just planning to do - short term, band-aid solutions, and nothing else). To be honest, if Duterte won't win this upcoming elections, mag-mimigrate na talaga ako sa ibang bansa. This country will never become an economic superpower without Federalism. Mark my words. Duterte is already old. We got this once in a lifetime opportunity to have a great leader like Lee Kwan Yew of Singapore. I hope Filipinos won't waste this once in a lifetime opportunity. We need a visionary leader who actually knows how to make the Philippines *EQUAL* to the United States, China and Japan (not below them, not puppets of them) This is our last chance if you want a Philippines that is well-respected by other nations, not just a puppet state. We need to cut the roots. We need to overhaul the *WHOLE* system. *No doubt, only Duterte has the BALLS (political will) to do it.* We need to start from the center, the main cause, the unresolved problems of the past since the Spanish colonial era. Kaya wala pa ring sariling identity ang mga Pilipino kasi maraming unresolved issues from the past. Hence, the never-ending conflict in Mindanao. Duterte knows the real problems of Mindanao and the Moro people (even the CPP-NPA) - the main cause and the roots because he experienced it first hand. No one can understand the real problems of Mindanao other than a person who has been serving in Mindanao for decades! *It's a thing that people in Luzon and Visayas will never understand. **#Duterte2016*

Duterte wants an answer that's on point from Poe. Duterte is smart to ask that. Instead of asking her how capable she is to be a President sa ganitong panahon na madami ang risks sa territorial issues, tinanong nya si Poe ng on the spot scenario. But Poe didn't answer that directly, napakageneral ng sagot nya. Sa panahon ngayon, bago isipin ang ekonomiya, siguro mas maganda muna ang seguridad ng bansa. Huwag tayo magpadala sa ganda lang ng mga sinasabi nila kundi ang kakayahan na magagawa nila ang bawat pangakong binitawan nila. Kung tutuusin, yung mga plataporma nila POE at BINAY, mga pangarap lang yan. At yung kay Duterte, mababawasan siguro in 6 months OO pero totally mawawala ang kremin at droga? malabo! The host (Ms. Luchi Cruz-Valdez) was being polite as possible during the debate. So that's why she's being "bias" to other candidates, by the way that Mar Roxas was acting. Ms. Luchi Cruz-Valdez was professional handling the situation. She wants to give fair opportunity to every candidates but Mar was taking advantage of other candidate's time. So that's why he's being so ironic that he said "Excuse me, It's my time" while stealing the time of others.

For me, di masyadong nailatag ng mga kandidato ang kanilang plataporma. Mga patutsada at mga kamalian lang ang nananaig dito sa debate. Mayroon tayong hinahanap sa mga kandidato at di ito masyadong nailatag sa programa. Ngunit, ito pa rin ay isang matagumpay na debate sapagkat muli nating nakilala ang mga kandidato on/ off cam at higit sa lahat nalaman natin ang totoong saloobin nila sa bawat issues at pakikitungo nila sa isa't-isa. Nasa sa atin nang mga botante kung pano natin pag-aaralan at busisiin kung sino talaga ang iboboto natin.

Clearly enough, Poe is so straight to the point with words that make sense. She's really good with her answers and it doesn't seem like she's thinking what to say, unlike Binay. When you try to look at her reactions, she seems to know the truth behind the lies of Roxas and Binay. I am super torn between Duterte and Poe. Plus there's Santiago. On the other hand, Mar is disrespectful and a hypocrite. Sadly enough he keeps on saying "Oras ko 'to" but he's such a sucker for attention when others are speaking and keeps on cutting other candidate's time. Dfq. Also, Binay keeps on scoffing! He seems lost. He's not straight to the point and sometimes he just speaks irrelevant shits just so he can say something. Idk. His responses are really awkward. This is just my opinion. I won't be able to vote this May since I am in the UAE. So I really am hoping this election will bring out the truth and elect the righteous leader. With all due respect.
