This used to be a GoldStar from 1995. The remains of the old GoldStar hall indicator is still on the basement floor. The multistorey part of the building was not completed until 1995, so this was not a replacement from a Hitachi. The two Hitachi escalators that got replaced by Pillar are most likely moved from the old part of the mall. This was modded in 2008 judging by the unchanged maintenance sticker which dates back to 2008, and its chime got replaced in 2020. Fun fact, the church behind this mall also has a Pillar. Wondering that the Malioboro lobby escalator wasn't actually installed in 1982, as the older part of the mall was established in 1989. Jogja Tempo Doeloe once said that the first escalators in Yogyakarta are in Gardena which established on 1988.

How does the remain of the old floor indicator in the basement look like? I still remember on all other floors the indicators were combined with the call buttons.

@@idl3k_elev : Just like your usual 1990s GoldStar elevator. Standard overhead indicator like the ones at Wisma Hartono, Galeria Jogja, and Ramada Benoa. And yes, it is only on the basement floor.

@@NP1C : Gardena's 1988 GoldStar escalators aren't original; they replaced some 1983 Hitachi/OTIS Escalators because of a tragic fire that occured in 1987 which made the previous escalators "mangled like a tin", according to Gardena's blog site. Its sister building, Vinolia, used to have a GoldStar elevator (according to Jaya Kencana's portofolio), modded into LINE twice (including when the building was renovated and the elevator relocated), before being replaced into OTIS Gen2. I believe the Hitachi escalators at Ramai Mall were from 1982, and was perhaps relocated from the former nightclub and pool that SGPC said this mall used to have and occupied what is now the new mall building.
