We are fighting with the nature issue because we are looking at ourselves and what we can do. But God wants us to look to Christ and what He can do for us that, which, we cannot do for ourselves namely overcome sin.

The focus on nature caused satan to slip into our doctrinal belief of Righteousness by Faith, the Diabolical sinless perfection theory. The angels were perfect but they sinned, Adam and Eve were perfect but they sinned too. We are fallen, how in the world could we attain a sinlessly perfect state of being when a perfect being could not? The only way we can have sinless perfection is to be infallible which is synonymous with being immortal. We are all mortals therefore we are subject to sin because we have choice. That is why we get TEMPTED BY THE EVIL ONE. But when we choose the Messiah and die daily momentarily, by CHOOSING to allow the power of God to will and to do what we cannot do. And we allow the mind that was in Christ to be in us, it is the only way we can overcome sin, by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of our Testimony, Rev12:11 It continues to say they loved not their lives even unto death. For me to live is Christ and to die is gain. Therefore it is Jesus via the power of the Holy Spirit that does the overcoming, and not me. Hence salvation is about being reconciled to God and Staying Reconciled to do this we must have a meaningful walk with God, choosing to follow wherever He leads us.

Our nature is not an issue with God, but our choice is. Fallen and unfallen natures both produced Sin. Adam and Eve had unfallen natures but they sinned. Angels had unfallen natures but they sinned. Moses had a fallen nature and he sinned. David had a fallen nature and He sinned. So why are we still focusing on nature and not what Jesus Christ can do for us and through us?
