Pillaiyar Tamil la (pillai - child, yar - who literally means 'who is the child..?'. Buddha oda statue vachu (mahayana buddhism) Buddhism oda symbol Ana elephant ah vachu, oru hybrid imagery create panni erukanga. There is another branch of Buddhism (Theravada Buddhism), where there was no image or statue of Buddha. He was just a teaching and philosophy guiding the road to dharma. Arasa maram literally means kings tree. Buddha s bodhi tree is also the same. The patham IN the temples is all Buddha feet, where the path of dharma is set and everyone can follow the road to rational dharma. So the vedism, Adi Sankara unified the various sects into an association with the siva puranam and clubbed it as one. Buddhism was well followed in tamil nadu and in India.
