Pillow Talk: Kid's Birthday Parties, Are They Worth It??

I do think the extravagant parties are a West Coast / southern thing. In New York, our kids have a party at FAO Schwartz or a tea party at The Plaza with a table and some balloons, and we call it a day. Even in the Hamptons, we'll throw parties but they aren't that extravagant. For a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Sweet 16, graduation, anniversary, holiday parties, sure. But because they turned 3? Absolutely not.
