I sit in my living room and watch every video with a stupid grin on my face. I am always thrilled for your successes and saddened by your challenges. Perhaps you can ask the kiddos if they want to send some of the books they have read to other kids. This may help them with the concept of sharing and where the books came from. They can help you pack them up as well.

Great job dads protecting the kids from COVID as best as you can! On another note, we had four children and read to them all the time. By the time number 4 arrived, we had to purchase new books as the older ones fell apart. They all now have a great love of reading. It is truly a life long gift. As far as foster care, keep up the great work. My oldest son and his wife have been foster parents, with the possibility of adoption. They had the oldest from 5 months. It took quite some time for the parental rights to be severed. They were finally able to adopt him at 25 months. The second boy they had from birth and were heartbroken when the bio Mom was able to care for him at 11 months. On the plus side, they are still in contact. The third little boy they have had for a year. ( it was originally an emergency placement). The process is long, slow and sometimes painful. There is still the possibility of adoption, but nothing concrete. We treat all these kids as our grandchildren for no matter how long they are with my son and daughter-in-law. All you can do is give them the best life that you can while you have them and to love them! You both have this covered in spades! My best to you both and much love!

Yes - at least tell us categories of books they like. Or books you wish you had for them. Also - check out your local library. Some of the libraries are having virtual story hours for kids and craft time for preschoolers.
