I never thought to use a glue stick to hold the trim in place. What a good idea! And I cannot count the number of times I’ve sewn the wrong sides together. Glad I’m not the only one. Great tutorial. Thanks❤️

Glue basting for the win! Also works great with ricrac! Every sewist has sewn something with the right side facing the wrong direction...so frustrating though!

I was taught in home-ec to sew right over those pins. So when I signed up for a quilting class I thought the teacher was going to pop a vein when she saw me do that. lol. I try not to now, but sometimes it happens. Thanks for the tutorial.

Oh Bonnie! I was yelling at the screen. I’ve done that same thing a hundred times. The worst is when I’m doing fusible appliqué and iron the fusible on the wrong (right) side of the fabric. I love the glue stick idea. I’ll be doing that from now on. I usually used a million pins to secure the trim. Very informative.video. ❤️ Thanks.

The glue does not! It was a glue stick and did not take very much to hold the trim in place.

Love the tip of gluing, never can I get mine straight…this will help me a lot. On your mistake of putting fabric wrong sided, I have done that many times…the rip, rip n do all over again…Oh well. Thank you for this tutorial, it helped a lot. Happy Stitching! 🐇🪡🧵
