Omg it took me two days to find this type method!!!!! Thanku. I was just using my head but I needed some other things verified. Securing the Batting Not sure my choice- embroidery sting or ? And im adding a twist cord😳😰 One side is bamboo flannel and the other is elaborate satin with rose motif ( like a bride gown). I wish i would gave bought the cotton batting instead of the poly😏. This is the first time im making a “blnkt/quilt 😳. I had to, i bought the beautiful satin material from a second hand store pastel pink, pastel blue, white and a extremely royal emerald/teal green. A special lady is having he first baby soon. Wish me luck. A Blessing blanket i hope🥰👌🏼💫🙏🏽🥂👶🏼. Great vid. Exactly what i wanted Thanku

Very helpful for a newbie! I’ve made a tshirt quilt top that I used fusible stabilizer under and I’m backing with fleece, so I think I might skip the batting since I don’t want it too thick! It’s just a laptop size for being cozy on the couch, so I think your method will be perfect! Thank you for sharing your talent!❤️

I know you said it works great for small quilts but what about a quilt that's about 60in. x 60in.? Thanks.
@Needlepointers
@Needlepointers 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jacqueline. We would recommend this method for small baby sized quilts or wall hangings. 60x60 inch is a pretty large quilt and you would want to bind that with a normal binding method. We have a video on adding a binding that requires no hand sewing here: www.needlepointers.com/main/youtubecontent.aspx?KZbinPageID=167. Another option is a "Faux piping binding". We don't have a video on this one yet but you can look it up on Google. Your last option is to do a traditional binding method where you sew the binding on around the front of the quilt and then hand sew it down on the back. Hope this helps! We post new videos weekly so be sure to subscribe to our channel. Please share our videos with your friends and on social media. Visit our web site, www.needlepointers.com/main/youtube.aspx to find more videos and to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.Happy Quilting!

Tku for this video…. How do you square the quilt top on a pillow case quilt? Tku.
@Needlepointers
@Needlepointers 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching our video on the pillow case quilt finish. When using the pillowcase method, you only need to square up the top of the quilt. I square up the quilt top by laying it on a table, place the cutting mat under one corner. Place a square quilters ruler on the first corner and line it up making sure the fabric is on a 90 degree angle. Cut both edges of the corner slowly making sure the ruler doesn't move. I then cut another corner using the same method. Finally I use a long straight ruler to cut between the two corners.

Hello. Naturally not every technique is ideal for every project. I don't think many quilters would try this on a large quilt (though I have seen it done). This works well for small to medium quilts though and is also a fun and easy way to finish small projects like table runners and placemats.
