Was sorta tricked by my oldest sister into listening to a cousin from across the pond, when I asked my bid Sis, who brought me to Janice Joplin, at about 13 yrs. old, along with Jimi Hendrix and Joni.. but I was asking for a copy of Springsteen talking about his father. She gave me a disk, I'd say 3 songs of Bruce, though his songs were kinda all one. It was great. Then I'm sitting there, Bruce finished. And I'm waiting... And who comes on, this cousin from across the pond. She can't possibly know what's in my heart ! ♥️ The rest of the at least an hour long disc, was Adele ! For about 20 - 30 seconds, I thought, what ? Then, oh... felt my soul soul sing with hers. And then I thought, how can she know what's on my heart, and sing about it. I was dumfounded ! It's a woman, singing about things on my heart. Me being someone who's moved by those that sing from the heat, I was blown away. Tears fell. Then I learned, I had to get over myself. I had my cat taken away about a year ago cuz he attacked our other cats, & we try so hard to find him still thinking every cat was him but ik we will never find him cuz idk where he is. The people who fostered him never told us where he went. My dad still try's to ask where he is, but she will never tell us. And u might be thinking: "why is ur dad trying to look for him, if he got rid of him?" Well...my mom told us to get rid of him, but we didn't agree with her so she decided to take matters into her own hands and call the foster lady. I remember giving my final goodbye to him as they took him in a cage away. I also remember him meowing at us which broke my heart before he got taken away. It still hurts to think about him and the good memories we had together knowing that I will never see him again. He might just look & act like a regular cat to u, but he was family to me. Will forever listen! My grandma passed away when I was 8. This song came out on the TV for top 10 songs back then! She loved this song, I remember she would always sing it. She passed 2 weeks after, She was my everything! I SOB every-time I hear it and it breaks my heart all over again that I never got to say goodbye!
