It's too early to judge this show, but many of the creators, including Mitch Hudson, worked on The Chosen (2017). What I really like about this show is its humanity. Everyone here is funny, but human. They aren’t really caricatures of biblical figures (as some shows may be inclined to do), but rather fuller people who have been thrusted into a dangerous world that only God can help them through (much like our own).

Although it emphasizes the humanity of the show through comedy it doesn't take away or disrespect the original context. Amazing job, I look forward to rest of the series!

There were about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children. Many other people went up with them, and also large droves of livestock, both flocks and herds. Exodus 12:37‭-‬38. It’s possible the many other people were some Egyptians
