Thank you for the video incredible helpful and I loved your '' Engines turning or passengers swimming joke '' . Please can you make a video on how to do an Rnav Gnss approach if you can Captain SQ.

Hi SQ. Many thanks for the nice work of yours,very nice indeed. May I kindly ask a question?Let's assume just for the sake of the discussion that in case of an engine failure in cruise the crew does absolutely nothing,what would happen in that case?(autopilot on,autothrust on). The reason I am asking this is because we always train the actions on the sim but I have no recollection of an instructor telling me how the aircraft would behave if no actions taken at all. I reckon that autopilot would try initially maintain the altitude while autothrust would give its maximum CRZ N1(let's assume that the only thing we did was to move the thrust levers to MCT). Obviously the speed would decay as the aircraft would try to maintain level flight but then I am not quite sure what will happens next and I can not find anything on the manuals for such a scenario(quite extreme I know xxx...) Would the speed reduce to VLS and then the autopilot would just pitch down to keep VLS? Would it reduce further all the way to AProt and then AOA protection would kick in?(Meaning that at that stage the A/P would disconnect and then what...) AFLOOR could be engaged perhaps too if the speed would be somewhere VAPROT and VAmax?(Quite extreme too having AFLOOR on a level flight but I am so confused on such a scenario) Anyway,if you could give me a hand on that one I would be grateful! Yorgos

Engine damaged if no N1 & N2 rotation

Correct. Anything else?

@@Captain_SQ I would include high engine vibrations, fire or oil leakage indications, loud bangs (stalls) and oscillating parameters such as N1 or N2.

On secondary failure, we use APU to back up the failure generator. Can we use an ELEC Pump as a back up for yellow hyd if ENG 2 fail? (like single ENG taxi in procedure)
@Captain_SQ2 жыл бұрын
the electric pump is used for short periods. I would think it will overheat with prolonged use.

Hello Captain. I have a question. In case of both engine failure. Can we do a windmill restart above FL250 for as long as we are on 300kts? And is starter assist only allowed at FL200 even tho the other working engine will be the one to provide the bleed air instead of the APU? Thank you very much for your reply.
@Captain_SQ2 жыл бұрын
yes you can do a windmill start as long as it is above 300 kts. Once you got the other engine running, then you can refer to the QRH to restart the other engine, only if you really require the other engine.
@ninomischaelongleo7252 жыл бұрын
@@Captain_SQ . Thank you for the clarification Captain. But do we still have to wait for FL200 for starter assist relight? Or we can proceed to starer assist relight even we are above FL200? Sorry for the inconvenience.
@Captain_SQ2 жыл бұрын
According to the graph, I believe the max guaranteed altitude for starter assist relight is FL300.
