And sheva wasn't in stars either but wasn't any good unless you had another player playing as her on co-op. Mike was a complete stranger yet wiped out an entire army so we could pass into the enemy base. Mike died a hero. 🙏

Personally, I feel that the original version of Mike's death was far more impactful. You've only known him for a short moment, but he did his job and cleared a path for you. Leon always appreciates any backup he can get, especially after working the mission essentially alone. Neither he nor Leon were paying attention, Mike paid dearly for it and his death would be almost instantaneous. Whether the RPG did him in or the crash down the cliff, Mike's departure was sudden and took away from the short celebratory moment. The remake however still did a great job, Mike's personality was far more front and centre and he certainly provided a ton more firepower (until the final stretch that is due to munitions). His death felt a little more dramatic, if a little drawn out in comparison. He struggled against imminent death, and Leon of course watched helplessly. Certainly fits the grittier tone of the game, but to me it didn't feel as much of a 'slap you across the face out of nowhere' robbery as the original.

In the original the dialogue was that Leon was thanking Mike that's why he told him drinks on him but the remake mike is the one offering him a drink which doesn't make sense, also the way Leon in the original says you're the next to go saddler you can see the pain in his look and eyes but the remake he says it without any emotions

As someone who played the original first, I personally think the remake version is more devastating. You definitely feel the sudden loss of Mike in the original since he just got instantly blindsided with a rocket, but while it was sad to see him die, at the very least, his death was quick, so he didn't have to feel fear before getting taken out. I can't speak for how people who played this version first felt, but in the remake, they subverted my expectation of the rocket being used to shoot Mike down. Instead, we get a close up of Mike in the pilot seat. Seeing him go from confidence in picking Leon up to confusion and panic once the Novistadors latch onto his helicopter felt worse since (instead of just instantly dying like in the original) he's now frantically looking back and forth as he loses control, and to top it all off, you can hear both his fear and frustration from just getting absolutely swarmed before he goes down. Also, what puts the Remake's version a step above the original scene for me is Saddler; in the original, he just walks off with with his henchman, but in the remake, after Mike dies, Saddler walks toward the edge of the rooftop just to look down at Leon with a taunting smile, almost as if he's proud of what he just did. It wasn't enough for Saddler to just have Mike killed and leave; he WANTED Leon to know that 1) he caused the crash and 2) that Leon doesn't stand a chance against him and 3) he's about to have the Novistadors do the same to him. It's such an arrogant flex on his part, and that detail elevates this moment since it made me want Leon to kill Saddler THAT much more.

Idk guys, I love both versions of Mikes death in the games. Ofc the Re4 original will always be the O.G Mike, and that had a bit more of an impact than the remake when I first played the original, but to shit on the remake is a bit harsh. Mike's death in the original was outta nowhere, and the way Leon acted at the time was pretty relatable, heartbroken, and angry. The remake did the best they could to REMAKE the scene, it's just in more modern times than in the original, in the remake when Leon screams for Mike you can still feel the pain of not being able to do anything to help Mike. You can still hear the despair, and anguish in Leon's voice when he sees what happened, and I can admire how both Leon's swore revenge on Saddler, the original you can hear the rage in Leon's voice, but in the remake Leon sounds a lot better he sounds gritty, enraged, and darkened due to him still suffering PTSD from the Raccoon City incident. So if you where to ask me which one I'd prefer I love both, the original will always be the O.G and Legendary beyond any time frame, but I also love the remakes new interpretation of how the main character has not only developed, but how the modern times interprets the original game

I still prefer the original death scene for Mike. That rocket outta nowhere to cut short your celebration was such a shock and equally an ass move. I was real mad and got even more motivated to kick Saddler's ass afterwards. LOL The Remake one is all right, too. It's an interesting alternative but also an "unnecessary" change, I feel. It lacks that shock value compared to the sudden rocket attack. However, if that scene was used to introduce the Novistadors for the first time, I think it would have been pretty good!

How did the chopper catch fire in the re4make? Because bugs crawled on it? So stupid. Also, you can see the derelict of the crashed chopper in the original, there's an interactable with it. In remake there's only fire, and if you go into free camera there's no chopper at all, just fire. Such a sloppy job by nu Capcom with the re4make.

You do realize in the original version, a full blown combat non-stealth chopper can somehow fly over Leon with a fully lit SEARCHLIGHT mind you, and not a single Ganado even aware of it until Mike pushed that oil tower to the ground. I mean, the sound of the rotors alone should've warned them that a chopper is nearby. It's not like Leon is standing that far from where they are gathering. And it was never established once in the whole original game that Ganados are deaf. My point is, it's just a video game developed by Capcom. A developer where they constantly switched between nonsense. Chill.
