Farscape, Babylon 5 and Firefly were simply light years ahead of other shows when it came to script, story, acting, chemistry and character growth. All are absolutely untouchable IMO - My Box Sets of these series have all been watched and enjoyed many, many times.

Pilots' friendship with Aeryn was one of the best things in this series. Pilot was the one who brought out the good side in Aeryn in the first season and I was extremely happy how it developed through the seasons. Was I the only one who was near onions when Pilot told Moya wanted Aeryn to name Moyas child? Yes? Okay...

Farscape was one of the greatest Sci-Fi shows of all time! I was shocked when it was cancelled - leaving the story unfinished. Thank goodness they provided closure with the Peacekeeper Wars movie! I'd love to see them bring this show back with a whole new crew commanded by Crichton's son.

I collected the series, Got Chiana to sign the dvd set where they introduce her 2 the show..She was great to meet..I was over excited 2 see her..Almost kissed her..But GiGi Edgley was quick..So we got pictures and i recorded her at the Q&A...Sometimes i get Farscape dreams..Man i miss the crew...

Still sad though that its two decades later and we still don't really have anything like Farscape produced. It focused on entertainment and was mostly apolitical and not preachy, no toxic identity politics trying to make Crichton apologize for his toxic masculinity and white privilege, hugely creative sets instead of the typical "metal battleship/submarine in space", and no over-reliance on cheap CGI that will never be as good as quality puppeteering.

The effects were kinda low budget at times... The premise was sometimes silly. And there was some campy bits for sure. But this show's character interactions and it's accompanying musical scores were some of science fiction's very best stuff. I love that nobody is a trope. Not even Creise and Scorpio were one dimensional villains. Everyone grew and changed and became relatable and if not likeable at least respectable as time progressed. I miss this show a lot.

I recall watching FS on Netflix and when they took it down I went into panic mode, thinking that I'd never be able to watch it again, so purchased the entire seasons and Peacekeeper wars on blue-ray. It's one of my most prized possessions. I found it on Amazon prime not so long ago.

Wasn't there an episode in which either Pilot's or Moya's language was explained? I remember hearing something about the translator microbes not being able to translate it, and that in very little speech, a lot could be conveyed.

The way I remember it was that the language of the Pilots was so complex and so dense, so precise, that the microbes just basically crap out, instead of saying 'that person over there' it's more 'that person in the pilot's chamber to which I am talking to who is standing by the door and has asked for me attention with dark hair'.

When a puppet can make you misty-eyed… Probably one of the best written, acted, and filmed SciFi shows ever put on television. Farscape was pure unadulterated talent personified. The acting was brilliant, even by the puppets. Shows like these are not made now. Too much risk. Not enough talent. Not enough imagination and experience by the writers. Too much woke and DEI. Farscape is a priceless treasure that happens only once in a lifetime.

Angela Andre well someone had to die at the end. I think they planned for Jothee to take on his father's legacy if they were going to continue the series but all the ideas to do so did not go through except for the comics. They are OK but they do not fill all the left over p,to threads like Chianna wanting to join her brother in his rebellion. We do get to see Rygel's home world in the comics though.

In fairness, this is the only time I recall Moya being referred to as "him". They later say that Talon is definitely male. Could be a writer gaff or it could also be that Pilot's race has no term for female.

Not until after this episode. The original link between the current pilot and Moya was flawed and incomplete. This was part of the rebonding and having it work like it was supposed to. Moya forgave him.

Yes it is. But in your mother´s defence: It is recommended for age 16+ (only PKW is for 12+). It´s for grown ups. That´s why I like it. No commercial agenda to manipulate kids to buy computer games or worse: buy overpriced plastic toys.

Everybody in farscape has done some things that are forgivable but I cannot forgive Zhan Ka'Dargo (Dargo) or Rygel for cutting off his arm I know each and every one of them has a deep desire to go home but that one episode DNA mad scientist where they were trying to find the coordinates to go home I don't think that they had to sacrifice pilots arm for that and what dargo said about pilot being only servants to those aboard moya I cringed a little because that wasn't a mere servant that was if anything a friend and an ally that I would love to have on my crew if I was the leader of moya if anything I tried to take more care of pilot because pilot and moya are connected even though he's not Moya's original pilot still he's a part of her and you have to take care of him that's why I've grown to like pilot because besides Crighton I feel like he's the voice of reason ❤️
