Just Planes continues its AeroMexico series wiith a 5th program of the countries national carrier on its newest aquisition, the 737MAX. For this film we selected a longer international route flying into Bogota Colombia and a shorter domestic sector to Monterrey where low visibility and a low ceiling allowed us to capture a Go-Around/Missed Approach, always something interesting to cover. Lots of nice scenery and a look at the new very modern cockpit of the Boeing 737.

The phraseology of the coms should follow ICAO and it would be in english, in Spanish each country would potentially use their own lingo which might make it difficult for pilots to understand even if they speak Spanish. I am Colombian and I fly in the US and I think I wouldn't be able to communicate with ATC in Spanish
@Hk-uw8my

@@alejandrobrand3004 thats wrong, what you saying about that each country has its own lingo also applies with english, for example, American english is not like british english. Spanish is an icao language and the phraseology is controlled, you cant say on the radio every word you know in spanish but you ll always use the same standard radio phraseology, just like with english.

11:15 as some below alluded to, oscillating the controls in the flare is a terrible habit. I have flown with a (very) few who do this even on a calm day. It can be uncomfortable for passengers, especially when the oscillation is in pitch. Most manufacturers also state in their limitations not to do it, as it can result in structural failure at any speed including lower speeds. Imagine those hydraulically powered control surfaces being jostled that rapidly.
@THYB737

There is no concern about the mechanics or hydraulics. They should withstand way heavier inputs on a gusty day. But yes, it's extremely unnecessary and therefore stupid.

It could have been from the start if Boeing hadn't put profit above human lives... The safety-relevant MCAS was deliberately kept secret by Boeing so that customers could easily retrain their pilots from the 737NG to the 737MAX. The most important selling point was a sham that claimed 346 deaths! Why is Mr. Muilenburg not still in prison for premeditated murder in 346 cases?! If Boeing has been tinkering with their MAX for a year and a half, the problems must be much bigger than is publicly admitted. You cannot endlessly modernize a concept that is over fifty years old! Much more would have needed a brand new successor model for the 737 series, but discarded for fear of the Airbus 320neo family. That was a big mistake and the 737MAX is already the biggest disaster in Boeing's history. Hopefully more and more airlines don't want this messed-up bird anymore! After the Neo's, Airbus should also bring a successor to the 320 family on the market. I think they are already working on that in Toulouse...

Moving the ailerons from one side to the other, as if inducing the aircraft to some different behavior. I see that many speak ill of 737 Max that is not ready ... Guys, your in VFR conditions, traffic is light, I know the Bogota pattern has to be flown precisely because of terrain, but as pilots we need to be hand flying the aircraft longer then the last 300 feet of the landing. We have to keep our skills sharp and hand flying the aircraft should be the joy of a pilot, not a hindrance. Of course protocols and procedures have to be followed, but I dont know of any airline that discourages their pilots from hand flying the aircraft as much as possible.

They’re digitised because hat is the best way to preset information. You can’t show terrain or weather on an analogue gauges so more likely to have CFIT crashes. One main reason for crashes in the 70’s and 80’s was pilot error that could have been detected by a computer.

If it wouldn't be for cheap foreign Indian and Pakistan coding, it would still be flying. No quality control. So much for poor pilots. Those planes that crashed took off, flew and landed successfully in Ethiopia when delivered, where the Ethiopian pilot had only 200 hours of flying time in the 737 and the Indonesian crash. So much for experience.
@THYB737
@THYB737 3 жыл бұрын
Oh Jesus Christ... When the MAX were faulty, it didn't necessarily mean that it will crash as soon as it's in the air. There was a higher risk that the sensors received wrong data and caused the MCAS to override the control inputs...meaning that crash could ve happened to any crew, no matter how experienced they are. And just btw, a 200 hours FO has basically just finished his type rating, meaning he is the crew member with the latest knowledge and practice on the aircraft. I can tell you have no idea about Aviation, not to mention flight experience.

Why release now a video of a doomed aircraft that has killed over 300 men, women and children and has been grounded for an unprecedented length of time. Out of respect to the families of all those killed you should take down this video rather than promoting a flawed aircraft. Read the Transportation Committee report released this week. Read the testimonies in that from relatives of those that Boing killed. Shame on you as a previously responsible channel for posting this nonsense.

@@WackyBroProductions What is the point of your ill informed comment? This video was posted after the Boeing 737 Max killed 300+ men, women and children. My comment referred to the fact that this was very insensitive to post this video at this time.

And there’s the first one. Did you not stop to think that maybe this was filmed before the groundings?

One thing is to be nice and shoot these videos for the international community, another thing is to communicate in a language you're not even fluent in, forcing traffic control to speak in a foreign language against their intentions. This is blatant ridiculous, stupid and dangerous. I'll never fly Aeromexico ever)
